Donkey Kong is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Calamity. Donkey Kong is usually the nemesis of the infamous plumber Mario (known as Jumpman at the time), but in some games he is an ally of Mario and stars in multiple other games along with the rest of his Kong friends. Donkey Kong goes on multiple tropical adventures with his pal Diddy Kong and many others to save his island from menaces like King K. Rool and many others that threaten the island.
Alternate side smash to match the one used in Smash 64, which is weaker.
Forward aerial is stronger and is now a spike.
Donkey Kong's forward throw angled downwards in the air has a new animation, in which he tosses them beneath him with both arms. This can meteor smash opponents and can set them up for a down aerial.
New neutral special which, while similar to Diddy Kong's Peanut Popgun, deals less damage than his former neutral special and cannot be charged.
New Final Smash; Arcade. The move is a direct reference to the original Donkey Kong arcade game, in which Donkey Kong tosses barrels at Jumpman in order to stop him from saving Pauline.
