Dixie Kong is a new playable character introduced in Super Smash Bros. Calamity. Introduced in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy Kong Diddy's Kong Quest as a playable character, Dixie Kong is portrayed as the girlfriend and sidekick of Diddy Kong. Dixie Kong can defeat enemies and slowly float downwards by spinning around with her ponytail, and she can also use a popgun that fires bubblegum.
Unlike in previous installments, where Dixie Kong was a trophy (and a dropped character from Super Smash Bros. Brawl), she is now a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Calamity.
