Diddy Kong is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Calamity. Diddy Kong is Donkey Kong's best friend and Dixie Kong's love interest. Diddy Kong mostly goes on adventures with the two along with other allies to defeat all evil who threaten Kong Island, mostly King K. Rool.
New taunts and victory poses.
Due to the inclusion of wall climbing, Diddy Kong's recovery game has been improved.
New jab, which deals less damage.
New back throw, which is his former down throw, giving him a new down throw in the process.
Chimpy Charge from Donkey Kong 64 is now Diddy's dash attack, which hits only once and deals less damage.
Rocketbarrel Boost now can be overcharged, dealing recoil damage to Diddy Kong and leaving him helpless afterwards.

|Side special||Chimpy Charge||Diddy Kong charges forward headfirst, stopping abruptly when he hits an opponent. Unless it connects, the move leaves Diddy Kong helpless afterwards.||12%|
|Up special||Rocketbarrel Boost||Diddy Kong equips himself with a Rocketbarrel Pack and launches himself upwards. Can change the angle he travels in and it can be charged to increase the damage of the exhaust and the distance he travels in, however overcharging causes it to explode, causing recoil to Diddy Kong. If Diddy is attacked during his ascend, the Rocketbarrel Pack will detach from him, which can deal damage to opponents. Leaves Diddy Kong helpless.||7% (exhaust; uncharged)|
