Deep-Cheeps are green Cheep-Cheeps that follow Mario around in the water. They act similar to Spiny Cheep-Cheeps, but, don't follow the player long distances like Spiny Cheep-Cheeps do. Their polar opposite is the Eep Cheep, which swims away from the player.
