It evolves from Poftoph at Level 14 and into either Starangloph when exposed to a Dusk Stone or into Maksinpoph when Leveled Up w/ the Move Acid Wing.
Cophtroph like its pre-evolution is based on the Collared Dove although also features elements similar to that of gang members, the males and females of the species differ somewhat in appearance with the males having a distinct mohawk like stripe of feathers on their head while the females have six long feathers in a pair of three on each side of their head pointing backwards and upwards similar to angel wings although are quite pointy like the male's mohawk feathers. The Pokémon's body is overall a darker shade of grey than its pre-evolution and the stripe on its chest now forms a pattern that differs from region to region and is believed to be a way that the Cophtroph identify one another.
Their legs are noticeably longer than their pre-evolutions and make up nearly half of their total body height, in addition their tail is longer and when frilled out the males appear to have an angry face form from their tail feathers while the females have a pattern resembling that of a Seviper likely both intended to intimidate would be predators. The Pokémon's collar of feathers is also noticeably larger than before and on the females is slightly longer, Cophtroph are often seen preening the feathers of this collar, while the males tend to keep theirs ragged and unkempt, rather intentionally, the females have theirs preened into a slightly braided appearance. Their beaks are slightly longer than before and now form a hook like shape with an upper beak near the tip where their nostrils are located, the entire tip of their beak is now yellow in colour and small yellow dots form a pattern becoming smaller the further they are from the tip of the Pokémon's beak.
