Background[]

TBA

Appearance[]

Mons is a dark-skinned man with yellow eyes and brown hair that slowly fades into red hair at the top. He has elf-like ears and a built body, has magma rocks growing from his left shoulder, and also from both his arms and legs, which he uses to fight his opponents. He wears a black and orange belt, with a magma rock growing from the center of it. He also wears a small red one-piece garment with white borders that descends from the waist, and white bandages around both arms.

Personality[]

Mons has a very headstrong personality. He prefers to do things his own way, which somehow always involves violence. He is extremely self-willed and will do anything to accomplish his goals. Despite that, Mons also has a kind of heroic side to his personality. Even though he doesn't like to admit it, seeing his friends in danger or suffering is one of the things that aggravates and provokes him the most to fight for other people, even if he'd prefer to do the opposite. Outside of battle, he can be kind of playful around trustworthy friends, and can sometimes show a somewhat caring side.

Gameplay[]

Mons is a very powerful, tank-ish character, with high base attack and defense stats, great stamina and average base health. Mons generally relies on defense, being able to shield a lot of attacks using his magma rock arms, and can easily destroy some incoming projectiles. He is also very strong, and can cause a lot of damage if an attack is done right. However, this all is at the expense of very slow movement, due to his heavy rock legs. As such, the player has to be careful and keep an eye on possible incoming opponents, as it's important to take advantage of his high defense and capability of blocking most attacks.

Traits[]

Name Description
Heated Up Mons' Attack and Defense increase when he is near or moving through hot surfaces.
Rock Surfing Mons gains bonus movement speed by moving near terrain or structures, which builds up over 1 second and decays over 1 second upon moving out of range. Entering combat disables Rock Surfing and places it on a 5 second cooldown. This cooldown is continuously refreshed while Mons remains in combat.
Magma Off Mons' fire-related attributes will disappear for a while after moving through water, which decreases his Attack and Defense.
Polar Opposite Mons' Health and Vigor start to slightly drain over time if he's in cold environments.

Skills[]

Name Description
Molten Magia
Skill 1
Pressing the Skill 1 button causes Mons to unleash a force of magma waves around him, and additionally surfs on a magma rock around it, which increases his speed considerably. The magma waves deal rack-up damage over time on enemies standing in the vicinity area. Also, activating this ability will refill Mons' Infernal Debris. Drains Vigor while it lasts.
Wall of the Olympus
Skill 2
If Skill 2 is pressed, Mons summons a massive wall of rock that tears through the battlefield in the target direction, creating impassable terrain for a few seconds and knocking aside enemies it passes through as it emerges. Reactivating it allows Mons to ride atop the wall at high speed as it emerges. Taking damage or inputting any move in any direction will force him off the wall, which will continue along its path normally.
