Chain is a character in Conatus and the fourth character created by Exotoro. She is the 26th character overall and the 16th paid one.
Background[]
Chain is a former slave girl that was held by Ms. Fuyubashi, the most wealthy woman in Jenore. She broke from her chains during a trip through the Grimnore, and has been foraging through the Grimnore since. She may be the latest reincarnation of a legendary hero.
Appearance[]
Chain is a darker skinned woman with blond hair and blue eyes. She wears a orange and blue striped hat. She has a chain and collar around her neck. The chain trails off her like a scarf.
She wears a orange and blue striped tank top and wears green shorts. She has green cloth wrappings around her arms and has green striped stockings that are somewhat torn up. Over her left palm is a symbol of four squares.
Personality[]
Chain is a heroic character who fights those she deems beyond redemption or are actively trying to harm her. She doesn't really talk, but will take requests for chores or quests to take on. While somewhat of a basic personality, she makes it clear she prefers her freedom and if the player dies too many times as her, she will get annoyed and threaten the player to do the game herself. As such, she is one of the few Conatus characters to actively break the fourth wall. She is left handed.
Gameplay[]
Chain is a pretty standard and average character. She uses a whip to attack, as well as limited magic and forming grass blades that take away some of her vigor. She also has the ability to astral project, allowing her to look at areas before entering them. In her astral projection mode, she cannot physically touch anything, only look around. Nobody can see her unless they have Astralvision.
