ColecoVision Vault (aka CBS ColecoVision Flashback Vault in PAL regions) is a compilation of 60 (61 in the Game Boy and Game Boy Color versions) ColecoVision video games, originally produced by between 1982 and 1985. ColecoVision Vault was released on Game Boy, Nintendo 64, PlayStation, Sega Saturn, Microsoft Windows, and Mac OS on June 1, 1998 in North America and June 26, 1998 in PAL Regions.
ColecoVision Vault was released on Game Boy Color on December 7, 1998 in North America and December 15, 1998 in PAL Regions.
A sequel titled ColecoVision Flashback Classics was released on August 22, 2017 in Japan, August 25, 2017 in PAL regions, and August 29, 2017 in North America.
The Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, Sega Saturn, PlayStation, and Nintendo 64 versions of ColecoVision Vault have a feature the option to watch the complete first season of Saturday Supercade. This feature is omitted from the Game Boy, and Game Boy Color versions of ColecoVision Vault due to limitations.
This is the 3rd installment of Acclaim's 8-bit Blast! series. The first was MS-DOS Generations (1994) and the second was Apple II Generations (1996).
The PAL release of PlayStation version of ColecoVision Vault is one of 20 games pre-loaded on the PlayStation Classic (excluding the Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong versions of the PlayStation Classic), which was released on December 3, 2018. In the Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong versions of PlayStation Classic, the game is changed to G-Darius. The other 19 games on the PlayStation Classic are Cool Boarders 2, Destruction Derby, Grand Theft Auto, Rayman, Syphon Filter, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six, Twisted Metal, Battle Arena Toshinden, Final Fantasy VII, Intelligent Qube, Jumping Flash!, Metal Gear Solid, Mr. Driller, R4: Ridge Racer Type 4, Resident Evil: Director's Cut, Revelations: Persona, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, Tekken 3, and Wild Arms.
