The Cloud 9 is an idea for a special item in the Mario Kart series. It is exclusive to the Japanese version of Mario Kart Insanity (as it is known as Mario Kart 9 in Japan), as the Lucky 7 is featured in all other regions of the game. It functions similarly to the Lucky 7 and Crazy 8, except it replaces the Coin with the Blue Spiny Shell and adds a Boo to the mix. It is depicted with a purple number "9".
