Cloud is an unlockable playable Legendary character in Arcade Smash Bros. and makes his third return in the series (fourth if you count Ultra in where he was a DLC character) since Super Smash Bros. for Wii U & 3DS where he also was a DLC character. It was confirmed in the debut of the developement of Arcade in April 1, 2020. Cloud is classified as fighter #61 and has officially an Echo Fighter being Zack. He also has his Advent Children appearance in his alternate costumes.
Since Sora is now part of the Smash roster, Steve Burton now takes his role for Cloud, since he also voices him in Kingdom Hearts being a union based voice actor. He provides new voice clips in this game in English, while Takahiro Sakurai continues to be the main voice actor in Japanese, reusing the voice clips from Ultimate.
