Chungus Battle Royale is a fighting game for the Nintendo Switch developed by Epic Games and published by Nintendo. It will be released sometime in 2019.
Gameplay[]
The gameplay is similar to other fighting games such as Super Smash Bros., Street Fighter, and Shaq Fu, as you take on your opponents in a melee battle, and you unlock fighters by beating them. The game can be played in many ways, such as Time Trials, Classic Mode, Online Mode, Adventure Mode, and Online Adventure Mode. Players can also set variables such as what items are given out, and what the goal is.
The game also borrows many elements from another Epic Games produced title, Fortnite, as seen in Adventure Mode and its online counterpart. The modes play similarly to Fortnite, only instead of being limited to guns, you can also use an array of weapons.
Time Trials[]
In Time Trials, you are engaged in fighting with an opponent for a certain amount of time, which can be set by the player. Whichever player delivers the most damage wins.
Classic Mode[]
In Classic Mode, you are given a certain number of lives, as is your opponent. This number can be set by the player. The last player standing is the winner.
Online Mode[]
In Online Mode, you are able to play with opponents online in a game that can be custom set to have either teams, or be a free-for-all. The rules as to who is the winner can be set by the players.
Adventure Mode[]
In Adventure Mode, you are in an open world attempting to defeat your opponents. As stated, this mode plays similarly to Fortnite. You can switch to be in either first person point of view, or third person point of view.
Online Adventure Mode[]
In Online Adventure Mode, you are engaged in an open-world brawl with online opponents. Like its offline counterpart, it plays similarly to Fortnite. You are also able to play either in teams, or a free-for all battle.
