Games of the umbrella genre. Started by 1337doom ^(t∣b∣c)'s Elite Fisticuffs, Exotoro ^(t∣b∣c) later coined the name "baby waffle", and changed it to "umbrella" two years later.

The genre is conventionally considered challenging to explain. Umbrella games usually involve characters from various series crossing over in a single game, as if under a metaphorical umbrella of the creator's interests.

Note that classifying an article as a Umbrella Game does not excuse it from the basic standards of Fantendo; it will still be deleted if it is poor quality.
