    Mallorian inventor, Mallorian soldier
  • Weapon
    Steel-Bender Gloves
  • Powers
    Metal-bending

Mania Ivo Metallurgy is one of Mallory Zin's most trusted and beloved associates, being her personal blacksmith and main inventor as well as one of her best soldiers- meaning she serves a plethora of rules. She operates solely for Mallory's forces, crafting weapons or other metallic objects with her metalbending powers and using manipulated assistants sold to her by Ms. Replicate to duplicate her weapons by the dozen. Mania frequently supplies the likes of Mallory Zin, the Methademic, Ferris Rock, MLY-44, and the Violet Reaper with numerous upgrades while also continuously improvising their weapons. This makes her a big threat, as her skills indicate that she can just patch out the weaknesses of the Mallorian army without an issue. She isn't completely faithful to her cause, seeing the money she keeps and the resources she earns as benefits towards improving her skills and giving her the potential necessarily to conquer the world on her own once she feels like she's mastered her hand at inventing! However, her well-established relationship with Mallory makes it hard for Mania to betray her, especially because they are each other's only real friends, the Messiah not withstanding.

Mania Metallurgy is very calm and collected person that works vigorously on her projects, not bearing anyone any attention or any mind until she either takes breaks or finishes her invention. Sometimes she'll work on something for days and days on end before scrapping it eternally, either due to a lack of time or a lack of motivation- this is the reason why she's been cast out of her family. However, do not underestimate her: her inventions tend to be extremely well-crafted even when they're in unfinished states, and her perfectionist's streak does not let her let go of any big project until she's honed it to perfection. Able to impress Mallory and legitimately help her at many points during her waiting game to take over the world, she was able to use the money thrown at her to buy estrogen for her HRT and take advantage of the greater resources she's been entrusted with over time. Like Mallory's other comrades, she is not concerned about her devices being used to kill or torture others around her, but she's probably the calmest about it and does not mind working even when the air smells mostly of blood.

The scariest thing about Mania Metallurgy is that she believes strongly in the possibility that machines will become the inevitable future of the satellite, surpassing both Mallory's forces as well as C.O.T.S. and creating a dystopia where robots rule the world. Once she's perfected her cyborg technology enough, she will be leading these cyborgs around not just the satellite, but also the world! She will do anything to accomplish this goal, using blackmail to make Mallory's other troops seem inferior and frequently blaming others for her lack of success when money is tightest.

Boss Analysis

Mania Metallurgy is one of Mallory's specialized elite forces, therefore she poses as a fairly strong threat to the player whenever encountered in combat. Mania will spend much of her time hovering about in the air, scanning the scene for the player. If she locks onto them with her visor, she will rocket towards them with a sonic boom and try to land an axe kick (Homing Axe). With how frequently she happens to be high in the air, going below her will cause her to initiate her drilling kick attack, which will have her spin and thrust her feet into the ground to spread harmful debris around the arena (Drilling Dive). In both instances, it's best to hit Mania the moment she misses her attack and comes near ground level, as that signifies she's done with her attack and she will next rise back into the air.

Mania Metallurgy's most significant attack has to do with the head cannon attached to the top of her head. When she closes her eyes and the player can hear the charging of her cyan laser (Giga Laser), she will attempt to blast it in the player's direction. This is best avoided through perfect parrying, but it's simpler to just move out of the way. She can also blast out strange smaller and slower green lasers (Mini Lasers) that instead reflect off of walls for a bit, giving the player less room to work with as they avoid Mania's attacks. Sometimes, she will not close her eyes as her body begins to glow with cyan colors instead (Cyan Healing)- she will quickly be healed, but this also renders her vulnerable to the player's attacks. If the player behaves quickly enough, they can disrupt her healing and get in free hits against her.

Mania's last trick involves the usage of metallic cubes about halfway into the fight, whereas she truly shows her ambition with metal-bending. Every twenty seconds or so, she will summon a big cube and transform it into one of three things. If an elephant (Mecha-Elephant), she will trample around with it and blast off cyan lasers from her helmet, trying to smash at the player with its trunk (which works like a party popper in how fast it is). If an octopus (Mecha-Kraken), she will writhe across the ground and try to grab the surrounding players with steel tentacles, which is more efficient but leaves her at a much lower elevation, making it much easier to hit her. Finally, she can transform the cube into an eagle (Mecha-Eagle), which can fly Mania around as she tries to send storms of feathers in their direction through "hurricanes".

Once Mania's taken a stunning 500% Hit Points' worth of damage, she will cry out as her armor takes a lot of damage, forcing her to retreat.

Tips:

  • Dashing beneath Mania with just enough speed will allow you to trigger her Drilling Dive and get away, provided you manage to escape the debris.
  • Staying on the ground when Mania's about to blast off her Giga Laser and then jumping as soon as they hear the conformation noise will always allow them to dodge the laser itself, especially if they're further away from Mania.
  • Staying low and then jumping to avoid a Giga Laser when Mania's riding her Mecha-Elephant will cause it to take considerable damage, making it break much sooner.
  • Projectiles are anyone's best friend during this fight.

Methademic

ColdBlood Icon Methademic

  • Occupation
    Mallorian drug dealer
  • Weapon
    Meth Crystals
  • Powers
    None

The Methademic is perhaps the most mentally insane out of all of Mallory's friends, being no stranger to incredibly dirty rulebreaking and being so complicated to deal with that everyone fears him, even Mallory herself! The whole point of the Methademic is for him to deliver and distribute meth illegally across the whole satellite, attempting to get heroes and villains alike so attached to the substance that they die from overdose or at least become very distracted, allowing his partners to advance forth with their schemes with less obstacles in the path. However, he goes so overboard with how he spreads the meth that he's lost all connection with his traditional activities and he's neglected all of his previous friendships! He spends almost all of his money purchasing meth and comes off as incredibly hyperactive, frequently getting in the way of his teammates and attempting to sell meth to them so he can buy more meth from illegal black markets! With all of this information in mind, it's a no brainer that the Methademic is the most dangerous individual one can come across aboard the satellite- he's so dangerous, not even Mallory can always hold him back!

Of all of Mallory's henchment, the Methademic is by far the most cocky and the most dramatic, sometimes foaming at the mouth with his own ego and going into hyper detail to his comrades about how he's going to kill everybody that opposes him or the people he works for. He's very much a lunatic because of heavy exposure to the drug he creates on a daily basis, and it's even become a part of him by this point- he can generate and use meth crystals to his advantage, which he can hurl around so they explode the addictive chemical everywhere and make havoc for everyone around himself. He can also form standard non-meth crystals to defend himself normally and protect places that shouldn't be affected by the drug, but this is a bit more restraining on his powers. He's very aggressive and can behave very violently when others don't listen to him, and he likes to bend all of his attention towards eliminating just one threat when they display opposition to him and his activities! The Methademic frequently twitches and seems to be suffering greatly from a loss of appetite, and is very perversely starved for sexual intercourse.

The gear that the Methademic wears is purposely designed to further protect himself from the aftereffects of the "meth smog" his crystals create, and also shields him from the grass fragments of his own exploding crystals.

Boss Analysis

The Methademic is among Mallory's most crucial elite forces, being a burly and tough psychopath that's hard to take down on one's own. The Methademic specializes in generating addictive Meth Crystals, which he will use to his advantage in battle by trying to chuck them at the player(s). Wherever the meth crystal lands, it will explode and release vapor into the air. Anyone that steps into the Vapor Clouds will have control issues, and then the Methademic will toss Red-Hot Matches that will set these clouds aflame, dealing massive damage to anyone who's caught in them. If the crystals themselves hit the foe, they will damage the enemy first before releasing vapors. Should these matches hit a player, they will be set aflame and take a good amount of damage, potentially setting off any settling vapor clouds around. All the while, the Methademic will be shown occasionally laughing his head off, giving the player(s) free chances to strike him.

The Methademic's equipped with other vital moves that he'll be trying to use against the player. The first is that he'll form standard limegreen crystals around his body, which is referred to as his Crystal Shield. He'll still throw out Meth Crystals between the gaps, so the shield needs to be torn down through physical attacks. The Methademic's also capable of stretching his hand out while his Crystal Shield is out, blasting off all of the crystals towards the player(s)'s positions as Lime Bullets. They do not make the player flinch, but will still deal minimal damage for each one that connects. He can also Inhale his own vapors when he comes close enough to them through his mask, healing himself- however, that renders him vulnerable to ambushes from the players, so he tries to do it when the other players are struggling with lit vapors.

When the Methademic's health is getting close to emptying out, he will begin to change up his strategy a little bit. He'll dash off screen, then return piloting a helicopter, carrying a bunch of crates aboard it! The screen will begin to slowly auto-scroll, with the Methademic throwing meth crystals down on the ground to make Smaller Vapor Clouds that need to be jumped over or disintegrated through usage of one's attacks, or dropping down Explosive Crates to make fiery pillars that will alternate between raising high and low, requiring the player(s) to jump at the proper timing. He can also throw Lime Bullets individually now, and will try to flip his helicopter upside down so he can shred at the player(s) with his Propeller Blades. This just requires the players to duck or move out of the helicopter's way, whichever is more convenient.

Once the Methademic takes enough damage (250% in Phase 1, 150% more in Phase 2), he will let out a maniacal cackle and leap from his helicopter, which will crash into a wall and explode as he retreats.

Tips:

  • The Methademic's Vapor Clouds can be disintegrated simply by attacking them, whether you're outside of them or inside of them. If you're quick enough, you can avoid getting lit up with a Red-Hot Match and quickly return to the fight.
  • Do not come too close to the Methademic while he's not laughing evilly, or he will drop a meth crystal to near-instantly create a Vapor Cloud and make you choke a bit as he proceeds to Inhale his own vapors, beginning to heal himself.
  • Cracking up the Crystal Shield is important, as it will make it harder to attack the Methademic while he's healing, and the Lime Bullets attack is very annoying to consistently parry to avoid damage altogether.
  • During the helicopter phase of the fight, hitting the Explosive Crates from below will send them back up at the helicopter, damaging it and causing it to come down, exposing the cockpit of the helicopter more and making the Methademic more vulnerable to taking damage.

Beck 82-99 is a down-to-business assassin that doesn't mess around, working as a bounty hunter under Mallory Zin's hand. Beck has a 50% win-to-lose ratio, and will always try to ensure that everyone he's been requested to kill will eventually die. He's frequently enlisted to take care of numerous threats for Mallory Zin, scheduled to tackle the big-time heroes so that Mallory and her comrades can have breathing room for planning. Out of anyone enlisted in Mallory's forces, it's arguable that Beck 82-99 is the most threatening of them all, as he behaves very coldly and deals with all of his targets in cruel and unusual ways. You will certainly be drawing attention from him if he's told to go after you, but you won't be drawing out any of his emotions any time soon, especially when the bounty on you is large. That said, he refuses to dispose of his targets through means of sneak attacks or hit defenseless enemies; he enjoys a true challenge and will not take the glory in killing others unless he has fought them fair and square.

Unlike his fellow comrades, he prefers to follow the law than break it, and as such lives a normal life outside of his business with Mallory. He is also one of the few important members of her forces that doesn't necessarily care about his commander at all; in fact, he hates her with a burning passion and only works for her because of the ridiculous large bounties she's placed on people like Silver Zin and Valerie Heartgold. His murder plots don't always work as intended because there's sometimes something he won't be able to account for beforehand, like an extra character he didn't take note of before initiating his plans or a hazard he won't be able to cross on his own, but he's decently successful and is widely feared by the satellite's heroes. Yet, they're unable to arrest him because of how cleanly and swiftly he has taken care of his fallen foes, removing all evidence of death away from the sites he's fought fair and square at. He also hasn't broken any rules beyond his illegal murders, allowing him to enjoy living life casually when not at work.

Beck is a catalyst of sorts and can wind time backwards or forwards if he needs to, but he requires a great amount of sugar (much more than what Minute needs) to use this power for himself. However, he can effortlessly channel it into an aging wind that moves time slower in front of him, making any bullets he fires into the slowdown breeze into explosives that damage foes numerous times over a course of seconds. He can also use this power to reverse the usage of his bullets so his ammo is never wasted, but he needs much sugar to keep himself going in battle. Beck never removes his helmet, making his real identity unknown to man- it's even waterproof!

Boss Analysis

Beck 82-99 is Mallory Zin's down-to-business assassin and one of her most trusted partners, meaning that he won't be holding back at all against her enemies so he may get what he's been promised! Beck will stand on the right side of the arena at the match's start, pulling out his Mallorian Rifle so he may blast his bullets across the screen, aiming up and down to meet the player's position (with two guns if there's two players). If the player correctly parries each successive bullet (he will fire out between 3 and 5), they will be able to get away scot-free. He can also blast away Aging Winds from his gun that slow down anyone they come in contact with, giving Beck a chance to shoot at them with his gun. If this happens, the bullets that Beck fires into these winds will effortlessly burn through his enemy's body, making them deal massive damage. Fortunately, these winds travel in simple, predictable circular patterns.

Beck has an array of other moves as well and can be considered among the more versatile bosses. Sometimes when he leaps up into the air, he will quickly aim and launch a Homing Missile in the player's direction, which will lock onto them until destroyed, sometimes firing a stream of missiles instead. He can, however, suddenly reverse time, making the missiles begin to travel back into his gun- which is something that can happen with his rifle attack as well. If he crouches down, he will flip forwards in the air, firing bullets in a 360 Spray around himself that can only be dodged through a good-timed parry. He can also roll across the ground to reach the other side of the arena, occasionally kicking off the wall to show his competition some Showering Bullets as they rain down upon the ground. Finally, Beck can try to flip over the player, trying to dash at them with a Dashing Stab attack with his blade, which deals a lot of damage if it hits their back.

When Beck's taken enough damage, he will become much more serious, pulling out blades and pocketing his secondary gun if he's holding one at the moment. He will continue his strategy from before, but he will occasionally change things up by Throwing Knives in the player's direction. If they strike the ground, their hilts will shatter, leaving the blades to be stepped on by his foes until they eventually disappear. He also will gain two new attacks. His first is his tricky Reflecting Shot, which has him blast one of his bullets down upon a blade so it may reflect off of it and head in the player's direction. As he will occasionally mess up and not always hit the player successfully, the player will need to keep steady footing. His second is his Knife Shield, which has him form a circle of blades around himself before blasting them all off away from his body.

Once Beck's taken 300% Hit Points' worth of damage, he will slump down to the ground, pounding his fist into the ground with frustration before running off.

Tips:

  • Damaging Beck can be rather difficult, but get close enough to him while parrying his bullets and you can give him some free hits in-between shots. This works most efficiently when he's using his Mallorian Rifle, Aging Winds, and 360 Spray.
  • Reflecting shields and high-priority attacks can alternatively send Beck's shots flying back at him, though this is tough to do consistently because of how fast he fires his attacks. It's ideal, therefore, to hit the last bullet of his onslaught back at him.
  • Parrying the Dashing Stab attack can be very difficult, but if done correctly, Beck will be wide open to even the most powerful of attacks, meaning this is a terrific way of punishing him.

Though Ferris Rock is still progressing into his youth, he happens to be the wicked and wild entrusted army general for Mallory Zin! This little hyperactive kid's a very troublesome foe to deal with indeed, commanding his mamma's army with brute force and no remorse. He's a spoiled brat under Mallory's eye, excessively drinking alcohol and going on drunk tangents about how he's going to destroy everything there is on the satellite when he's finished with his duties! Ferris is surprisingly very sadistic for his age, accompanied with a super disturbing set of morals, having heavy misunderstandings of the world around himself because he thinks the world revolves around him and him only. He holds no actual value for anyone else's lives, keeping many women at his station to serve him in any way he sees fit and killing any man that comes within his sight of crossfire. He's even known for cannibalism, celebrating his various victories by chopping up the bodies of heroes and devouring them after having cooked them up! Within his little twisted world, he punishes his foes by whipping them and spanking them, and forces them to do all his chores- he treats everyone like how his real parents treated him, which he solved by killing and eating them both!

MLY-44 is Mallory's main weapon and her strongest mech by far, being a sentry robot that's personally designed by Mania Metallurgy to guard Mallory's headquarters and shield her from all harm. He's the only one to survive out of the fifty that Mallory had commissioned, and went under several redesigns and touch-ups to become bigger and better. As with all robots of his kind, he is an "ATTACKER", which stands for "All-Terrain Territorial Assaulter Chaotic Killer Eon Robot", according to Metallurgy herself. He is somewhat sentient because of how he accidentally came across his siblings getting rebuilt and redesigned like himself, thus his new programming allows him to interact with others coherently- especially Ferris Rock, who frequently rides atop his back for big battles. Unlike his maniac partner, MLY-44's personality is more reserved and quiet, and he just attempts to get the job done; because he has a cold exterior and doesn't like to imagine having fun, he has become the butt of his partner's jokes, much to his annoyance. He shows regret when he hurts people too much and rarely laughs in battle, and has silently weeped when seeing the bodies of fallen heroes on the floor.

The two villains do not work in perfect synergy, and will likely never will. Ferris is a crazy boy that will freely get his hands on as much beer as possible when he sees fit, but MLY-44 is rather father-like to him and will discourage him from doing such things since Mallory trusts him as the army commander. However, they just squabble a lot, and ultimately that could lead to their downfall, if both don't end up getting along any time soon.

Boss Analysis
Prepare to meet your DOOOOOM!
Ferris, at the start of the battle

Ferris and MLY-44 make for an odd pairing of characters, and neither necessarily fight all that efficiently together. That doesn't mean neither of them are threats, however! Ferris Rock will always stand atop the back of MLY-44, frequently shouting out lines that indicate what they're going to do next. For example, when he screeches "CHAAAAARGE!", he will point his finger forward as MLY-44 gains a set of wheels, speeding across the ground as a Battering Ram. And when he instead shouts "FIREEEEEEEEE!", MLY-44 will raise his left hand cannon and blast a long-reaching Flamethrower that scorches the whole area in front of him, meaning that the robot will need to be jumped over or the blast will need to be ducked. Should Ferris shout "SMASH 'EM, SMASH 'EM!", MLY-44 will bring down his heavy right-handed club down onto the ground, shaking the ground and stunning enemies. All the while, Ferris will be frustrated, trying to hurl around ticking bombs that don't deal much damage but are annoying to avoid.

MLY-44 has more attacks for the player to try and dodge. If Ferris yells out "BURN 'EM!", MLY-44 will react by trying to send arrays of Homing Missiles from his back, which he'll try to aim onto the competition. If Ferris evilly grins, MLY-44'll instead send a barrage of Lethal Rockets that'll rain down onto the battlefield like meteors. If the enemy comes too close, he'll shout out "CLAW 'EM, CLAW 'EM! YOU IDIOT!" at MLY-44, who hesitantly opens up his inner compartment to slash at the player(s) with highly-damaging saws, ball-and-chains, axes, and swords- the Full Package. The player has to watch out for the mistakes the duo make together, as not everything will go according to their plans. Sometimes, MLY-44 will refuse one of Ferris' commands, making him shout later to force the robot into acting instead. As MLY-44 will always wheel around if players are behind it following a command refusal or successful attack, the player(s) will need to keep on their best guard.

Once MLY-44's taken a good amount of damage, the following conversation happens:

  • Ferris: You IDIOT! I told you to dismantle these runts, and you could hardly even scratch them!
  • MLY-44: Do not rush me, I am merely trying my best to follow your orders.
  • Ferris: Then get my orders right, you huge hunk of junk!

MLY-44 will suddenly transform into a robotic suit based off of Ferris, hiding the little boy inside. The mechanical Ferris will jump around, trying to slam its Shockwave Fists down onto the enemy. If these fists hit the floor, several blinding shockwaves of moderate power will be sent shredding across the ground. He will also breathe out Sticky Bombs from between his metallic rows of teeth, which will open up and try to stick players to the floor. The metallic Ferris can also unleash fire from its Searing Fingertips, scorching up any enemies right in front of it. The ticket to beating this massive mechanical form of Ferris is to hit him enough times at the front that the robot falls over. Attacking its forehead (specifically the brain compartment indicated by a glowing pulse) will deal the damage to it that's needed to eventually shut down MLY-44.

After dealing 800% damage overall, MLY-44's body will shut down, prompting Ferris to retreat, shouting "I'LL SHOW YOU NEXT TIME!" as MLY-44, back in its base form, claws its way out of the zone.

Tips:

  • Take a step backwards before Ferris says each command. When MLY-44 finishes its command, given you haven't gotten hurt, you can take at least 5 seconds whittling away at the machine's design. Damage it enough, and it will give in to the damage, forcing Ferris to try and powerstart it back up.
  • Attacking Ferris himself will stall the raining ticking bombs, leaving him dizzy. MLY-44 will then attack randomly, but more slowly, giving the player more time to adjust to the attacks and attack the robot until Ferris wakes up from his brief little nap.
  • During the final phase of the battle, when up against the mechanical Ferris, the ticket to beating up his mechanical form is to try and hit the belly once, then again, and then a final time to knock it over. This is easiest to do after it launches its Searing Fingertips attack, but can also be done during the Sticky Bombs move.

The Violet Reaper is the super young reaper-in-training for the satellite, supposedly working under Kýrios' word to reap the souls of the weakened so they may be carried out to a graveyard to rest peacefully with Zodiez's blessings. However, she's actually an evil dastardly little devil working under Mallory's every command, using her magical scythe to reap others' souls and forcibly stuff them into her collection of dolls so she has playmates she can mess around with later! She's a cruel and unusual person that takes obscene and uncalled-for tactics to demolish her competition and make all her little dolls. She has a permanent smile fixed onto her face, preventing her from showcasing any other forms of personality, especially when she's with the woman she considers to be her motherly figure- the real parent who passed their abilities onto her died at the hands of their own daughter. The Violet Reaper enjoys the feeling of killing, enslaving, and wreaking as much damage as possible, picking off even endangered species and crushing the remains of something endangered just to "prove" nobody is safe from her dirty hands.

She is a mentally insane child that's warped around with reality so much, she's lost any remaining traces of sanity and just seems to have nothing more than a nutty mind that's bent on nothing more than pure destruction. She's got the twisted fusion of a mind that can't seem to make up its mind on whether it is an intimidating and truly frightening adult or an incredibly intelligent child with frightening methods of destruction. Sometimes not even the worst of people, Mallory herself included, know how to deal with someone as frantic and chaotic as the Violet Reaper. Perhaps her only counter is the fact that she's crushing very deeply on Ferris Rock. This crush of hers is incredible; though Ferris Rock has ignored her multiple times and doesn't return her feelings, she will still kill anyone that bothers him and will ditch the bloodthirsty need to kill just for his sake. She frequently sends gifts to him that don't work out (they're just sacrifices and voodoo puppets), which also go unanswered. Ultimately, luring her with Ferris Rock will probably be the end of her- but she's a predator, not some prey. Who's to say it would work?

The Violet Reaper is capable of not just forming numerous duplicates of herself to her advantage and forming mirrors to reflect attacks off of, she can also use her Glass Scythe to make a dent in just about everything she touches. Every slice from this scythe will be able to rip someone's soul from their body, allowing her to possess the soul and use it to give life to a doll or otherwise do her actual job and bless the soul goodbye at the graveyard.

Boss Analysis

The Violet Reaper is a violent, cruel enemy that doesn't have a massive array of attacks, but can deal an incredible amount of damage at once and force the player(s) to rethink their strategy almost every time she attacks. Her main weapon is her Glass Scythe, a long-ranged weapon that deals an incredibly high amount of damage with each swipe. Her Soul Cuts happen in sets of four slashes, which come blindingly fast one after the other as she takes steps forward, sometimes ending her set of swipes with a battering ram dash across the screen with her blade held at the front. She can also levitate herself into the air to use this series of swipes. She can also perform an overwhelmingly strong overhead swing with her scythe to crash it into the ground, sending Gemstone Debris away from the epicenter and forcing the player(s) to jump. These are her only two attacks on the first phase of the fight, which ends when she has about 70% of her health left.

Once her health gets cut down plenty, the Violet Reaper will change her strategy by using a more versatile set of attacks. She will alter her Soul Cuts attack particularly, now sometimes Faking Out the player by cackling before performing an additional fifth swing. As for new attacks, she can now form Razor Wormholes that connect the player's position with her own- she will stick her scythe through her wormhole, swinging it around 360 degrees to try and cut up anyone that's far away from her. The Violet Reaper can also spin around with her scythe to become a Slicing Tornado, rising up a bit into the air before eventually landing back down on the ground. Sometimes she'll even split her body into two halves with her scythe, spinning her top half around with her scythe while her bottom half kicks around, before her body reconnects together. This is referred to as her Split-Up Attack.

When her health falls down even further, the Violet Reaper will begin to get desperate. She will begin to create mirrors in front of herself, which are known as Image Destroyers as if the player's character is reflected in the mirror as they're destroyed, they will take damage. Likewise, the reaper will also take damage if her body is reflected in her own mirror. She will also form Mirror Duplicates of herself, which will follow her in perfect succession and artificially increase the range of her attacks, though they can be destroyed almost instantaneously with any reasonably-powered attack. She can also hide herself and her duplicates behind mirrors made out of gemstones, moving them around the screen before they each pop out to strike with a boomerang-like scythe slash. They will then rearrange themselves. Hitting the real Violet Reaper will destroy the other mirrors and duplicates.

Once the Violet Reaper's taken 300% Hit Points' worth of damage, she will throw a temper tantrum, slicing open a portal into a hellish realm as she slips out, Dr. Finitevus style.

Tips:

  • The Violet Reaper's Soul Cuts can be dodged by simply leaping over or ducking under her, depending on if she's on the ground or in the air, respectively. It's not challenging to avoid her attacks, but beware that she will try to leap in your direction after the move's execution.
  • Her Gemstone Debris attack leaves her vulnerable, as her scythe will briefly get stuck in the ground, lesser and lesser as the fight drags on. That's the perfect time to strike her!
  • Striking the Violet Reaper as she's coming down from her Slicing Tornado is a good idea, as the player will be able to trap her with some juggling attacks before she'll try to front- or back-flip her way back onto the floor.
  • Sending a projectile towards an Image Destroyer while the Violet Reaper is on the correct side and then jumping will force the reaper to take damage, but not yourself! As damage inflicted by Image Destroyers tends to be plenty, she will get whittled down in no time.

Owner of the Supertzar Tavern, the ever-glamorous and famous Vicki Madonna (better known as the Razorback Supertzar) is enjoying overwhelming success and fame with her relatively new restaurant, strongly rivaling the Moore Lounge and even threatening to put it out of business! This somewhat laidback villain chills in her safe zone, admiring the fanciness and sleekness of her tavern's design from her office as she slowly plots the takeover of New Naxaz City, a goal she plans on meeting the second she can eliminate all of her rivals! The Supertzar and all her waiters and cooks speak in couplets and quadruplets of lines, dancing to the beat of whatever's popular at the time as they go along. She may be ripe-old, but she's still super hip and is in actuality very sassy, with her speeches patterned with burns and insults. She is a particularly powerful enemy, dancing all day and all night (even in bed, to a degree) to keep her heart pace up and always being ready to fight against those who challenge her overwhelming power!

Our Supertzar tends to be something of a tease, flaunting even when she doesn't need to, attempting to size down her opponent before taunting them to try and get closer to her vigorous self. She is quite vain, being obsessed with her high-tier dancing talents and her own appearance, and is proud of every bit of herself. Even though she has streak-white feathered hair and wrinkly skin, she insists she's as pretty as any young one and won't hold anything back with her piston-powered chops and kicks, and is really fast as she can move and dance to music of any tempo or velocity, preferring faster music in battles so she can overwhelm her opponent with tons of punches without breaking a sweat. She believes that Satellite 15's atmosphere don't have enough "positive energy" to it, vowing to renew the atmosphere of the place under her own style, but this isn't acclaimed by people outside her district of New Naxaz City. In spite of her position as a czar, the Razorback Supertzar rarely takes things all that seriously and has no interest in things that she personally finds to be boring or otherwise bothersome.

Atop all of this, she is incredibly eccentric and simultaneously demanding, being well-known for being highly strange and for her wishes to be young and beautiful again like she once was before, still working desperately to this day to look smooth and young. With her dreams of beauty in mind, she sees Valerie Heartgold as a rival and wishes to square off against her eventually in a dancing battle. What she lacks in actual emotion, she makes up for it in laughter: she laughs aggressively and almost all of the time, even in the most inappropriate situations.

Boss Analysis

The Razorback Supertzar has a very quirky, unusual battling style that makes her tough to predict and go up against, requiring players to keep their distance and seek for striking opportunities. What makes her so unusual to fight is that she will always throw out her moves to the beat of her pop-influenced boss theme, which has a simple 4/4 time signature and gives her battle a predictable but tough-to-evade flow. All of her attacks even go along the same pattern, give or take a few surprise switch-outs. Attacking the Supertzar is tricky, as the player can only really attack her by hitting her between beats- and when this happens, she'll crouch down and try to wait for the next group of beats before returning to fighting. When the song's about to change to a new pattern, she'll use one of her "ultra moves" to end the current one and then battle under the next phase of her song.

Unlike the majority of COLD❄BLOOD's bosses, the Razorback Supertzar has a very expansive, varied moveset, mostly because it's cluttered with simplistic attacks that come at every beat in the song. These simplistic attacks have her throw out mostly straight punches and kicks, with many of these moves deriving from Breakdancing in particular. She's got the chops, swings, joint bashes, and uppercuts to make it ridiculously challenging to approach her. She's fearless both on the ground and in the air, twirling her arms around and striking poses with each attack to really show off how well she can "dance". At the end of each pattern of beats, she will do one of her stronger attacks to dish out a lot of damage, though this will come with lag that briefly lasts until the song's next phase. The Supertzar's song's patterns go as follows: 32, 32, 16, 32, 16, 32, 16, 64.

As for her actual finishers, the Supertzar's got plenty to spare. One of her hardest-hitting moves is her Divorce Slam, which has her grab onto her enemy and hold their wrists in her hands, bending over with them like she were going to kiss them before smashing their skull against the hard floor. Another is her Bridal Crusher, which has her dash forwards stylishly to pick up her enemy like they were her bride, eventually leaping up and diving to slam them against the floor, another enemy, or a wall. Also available is her Rowdy Tapdance, which has her tap to a bunch of smaller beats in place as she swings her enemy around, either grinding them against the wall numerous times or hurling them into one. She also has souped-up Uppercuts and Axe Kicks that she can use quickly, which makes them tough to predict. Finally, her worst one- she will dash forward for her Horror Waltz, swooping up an enemy before dancing around with them forcibly, kicking them in the nuts frequently with her knee throughout the rest of the next phase of the song.

The Supertzar does not gain any new attacks for her second phase- instead, her song picks up in tempo as things become more tense. When the Supertzar is finally defeated (takes 400% damage), she will look down in dismay, leaving the stage with a glum look as she still humorously tapdances to the beat of her dying theme.

Tips:

  • The Supertzar's finishers all begin with a stylish dash, looking to snatch up her enemy at varying speeds. Her Divorce Slam is indicated with shaking fists and red afterimages as she dashes, her Bridal Crusher is indicated with squeezing fists instead and leaves behind blue afterimages, her Rowdy Tapdance has her sneer before leaving golden afterimages, and her Horror Waltz has her make a heart with her hands, leaving behind green afterimages. The first attack is the fastest, with the rest slowing down as they go along. They can all be jumped over, but the first two will aim to go after the player even when they're airborne.
  • The Supertzar's pattern is predictable, and she won't be going after projectiles even if you throw them at her. She'll try to do chops when possible to cut at aerials, but spammable projectiles will easily pass through her like they were nothing. Hitting her from above is also an option.
  • Waiting for the Supertzar to wait and stop after using one of her more powerful attacks is preferable before you can lash out at her, but you can trigger this early by hitting her between the beats. This is risky as she attacks fast (especially in the second phase), but it cuts out time in the battle, which can be vital in the story.

Lyric and Kasdeya, together, are a pair of naughty soul consumers that are said to have hailed from Earth at some point in the past. Wherever they came from, they're hosting a terrifying game known as the "Devil's Dance", where Kasdeya will spin a wheel of impending doom just to decide what high-difficulty tasks will be done by a group of prisoners to please the duo! Though Kasdeya's girlfriend, Lyric, will attempt to explain the rules of the game to the unwilling contestants, everyone who loses the game will have their soul consumed by the hungry duo! They are a very dangerous couple of people, though Kasdeya's the one worth worrying about as she's the only one that can initiate the game; Lyric just follows along and partakes in the glory of the blood that flows in these battles. They together rest in a place known as the "Never", which seems to be the satellite's equivalent of hell, and Kasdeya frequently tears open rifts to the place with her bare hands and rarely remembers to close them. Therefore, they're at several hidden places all across the satellite... driving people to their doom!

Lyric is the flamboyant and tomboyish transgender lady by the demoness' side, displaying a very anarchist personality that puts her at odds with the organized Christian family that opposed her views and lifestyle for so long. She behaves casually at almost all times, making her girlfriend sound like she's no big deal and treating every situation she's in like it has no consequence. Even though Lyric is very likely to lose her battles, she treats everything like it's no challenge and won't be able to give into anything without being hypnotized beforehand. Kasdeya, on the other hand, manages to sound way less frightening than her chess-obsessed girlfriend and even manages to come off as friendly to most, but she is a thousand times more sinister and threatening, relying on eating human souls to continue her life! This optimistic and happy person gets a huge kick out of setting up her devious little game, pranking people she doesn't like and becoming quite the party-goer when she notices how many people are alive aboard the satellite at any one time. She is reckless and loony, and runs wild with her succubus temptations when left unwatched.

These two are not a very threatening couple of villains, and in fact do not have much control over what's going on in the satellite's landscape because of how little of a role they serve other than the fact that they consume a few lives a day. Under the right circumstances, they can be friendly to the heroes. However, they're still best watched over carefully, or people might just become part of their little game!

Boss Analysis

Lyric & Kasdeya are battled together as a pairing at the end of the Devil's Dance mode, initiating a fight as all remaining players become involved in the final stage of the battle. As Kasdeya herself is actually invincible throughout the course of the match, the player will instead have to focus on striking down Lyric instead. Lyric isn't much of an obstacle on her own, as she is more or less an average human without much of a skillset to look upon. She will mostly throw around Chess Pieces, which will bounce across the ground as they try to hit the players. Pawns will bounce higher than the other pieces, with Kings bouncing the lowest, and the remaining pieces bouncing at heights in-between. Sometimes, she'll try and throw Blood-Sucker Bugs towards her enemies, which will slowly drain them of HP as if they were leeches. However, the player's real obstacle here is Kasdeya herself.

Kasdeya has a much greater assortment of attacks to worry about, though the player doesn't have to try and come close to her since they cannot damage her. Kasdeya will stealthily move her way around the battlefield, trying to protect Lyric's body as she tries to ram the players with her Pink Horn, which will shove them back against the wall if she succeeds. She will also use her Dish Dishout move from time to time, which has her toss and spin plates through the air like frisbees to try and hit airborne enemies. Kasdeya will also attempt to charge from one end of the burning room to the other with her Pushy Broom, trying to sweep players off the edge and towards their demise. Sometimes she'll dump Slippery Soap all over the floor for her enemies to slip on, occasionally flicking it from her fingers to blind her enemies. She can even bounce around using a Plunger, spinning out plates as she does.

If Lyric's down to 33% of her health, Kasdeya will become very steamed as Lyric falls unconscious, beginning to bleed on the floor. Succumbing to her demonic powers, an enormous tonal shift happens as she begins to become muscular, frightening in form. She will ditch all her previous attacks, beginning to instead thrash around and try to use her Nine Inch Nails to tear her enemies up through brutal, swift swipes. She will also spit out Waves of Fire across the floor, forming waves of short pillars that need to be quickly jumped over. Kasdeya will also heavily extend her Ridged Monster Tail from time to time again, thrashing it across the floor and through the air depending on where her enemies are located. She'll also try to Pin Down her enemies and remorselessly bash at their bodies, or try to brush them off the stage with her horns. She can be damaged in this state, as Lyric's part is over.

Once Kasdeya's taken 400% Hit Points' worth of damage (after Lyric's taken roughly 100%), Kasdeya will howl in anger before escaping with her girlfriend, hissing at the players before vanishing.

Tips:

  • Lyric is a huge pushover, but watch out whenever you manage to damage her. This will piss Kasdeya off and cause her to use her Nine Inch Nails attack in your direction. To dodge this, simply jump out of the way. If your fellow partner attacked Lyric, you can go in to damage Lyric even more while Kasdeya's occupied.
  • The Dish Dishout move can simply be evaded by properly ducking and jumping, and Kasdeya won't make any effort to alternate between up and down. All of her moves repeat the same kind of strategy, making her easy to predict.
  • Her Pink Horn attack in her final phase can be dodged by simply jumping. However, if she's near a ledge, she will fall off and take a considerable amount of damage, allowing you to tear through her defenses easily.

Summoned from an alternate dimension by Mania Metallurgy, Platinum Sin is the ruthless and brutal alternate version of Silver Zin, being his polar opposite in practically every way. She's an enthusiastic psychopath on the same level of power as her polar twin, harnessing identical strength but using light as a power in place of darkness. Just like Silver, she is an amnesiac that hardly remembers anything about her own past, but is more than willing to use him as a practice target to fuel her inner evil spirit. While Silver Zin can be seen as a hero in the right circumstances, where he's likely to use his power for good rather than evil, Platinum is the complete opposite. Though she sees her own actions as good and justified, everything she's doing is immoral and against the law, coming off as the villain in many circumstances. In her polar universe, she behaved very cruelly to those that Silver would consider his friends in his own universe, and got along with the people that Silver would consider his enemies in his own universe. She was in a loving relationship with the good-doer Dr. Replicate and saw Valor Soulsilver as her ultimate enemy and wrong-hearted brother.

When Platinum Sin got pulled from her own world, she decided that because she didn't want the universe to be overtaken by her brother while she was gone, so she used her powers to completely eliminate and detonate her world. However, she does not show these selfish desires to the main universe, and instead wishes it to take over it for herself since she's been pulled from her own world- and she plans on starting out by eliminating her parallel twin and unlocking a relationship with the evil-hearted Ms. Replicate. Surprisingly, even though she willingly destroyed her own world so it wouldn't be taken over by Valor Soulsilver, she still blames her dark twin for the destruction of her world and has announced that she will avenge everyone she's known and loved (a solid lie) by wiping him from existence! Unlike Silver, Platinum has an energetic and outgoing personality, but isn't very attached to the people around herself and won't think highly of anyone's deaths, even those of her lovers'. She's the dominant one at all times, outperforming notable hard hitters like Whiskey and being super flirtatious. Just like him, though, however horny she can be tends to flip-flop at times, but all of her relationships were unhealthy and unstable.

Platinum Sin is not automatically aligned with Mallory's forces just because Mania Metallurgy decided to force her out of her world to destroy her evil twin. However, she's not against working with them for a high fee. She is treated as a serious threat by Silver's team, but she's notably somewhat oblivious to just how different Silver's world is when compared to her own, trying to cope with the different environment and the change in how people from his world work compared to how people in her world work. Still... given she'll just kill anyone that annoys her, she's a threat worth looking out for.

Boss Analysis

Being his mirror nemesis, Platinum Sin's attributes are very similar to Silver Zin's- she's a tall lightweight character with good mobility and floaty jumps overall, excelling in the air but not being particularly bad on the ground either. As such, Platinum's moveset is particularly based around her being a semi-clone of Silver Zin, with similar attacks that functionally differ. She even builds up a HyperDrive meter like the other characters, and can use her own ZONAL FEVER if she's charged up her meter completely. However, this tricky-to-approach villainess with powers of light has some fatal flaws. Like Silver, her light weight and floaty attributes make it hard for her to touch the ground again once she's left it, and she's vulnerable against bait/punish archetypes. She also has somewhat low Stamina for a boss, though this is more than made up for with her impressive attacking power and more consistent chaining ability. She must also watch for how her taken damage "bleeds" over time, as her build is about as fragile as Silver's.

Platinum emits light particle energy from her very fingertips, which she may shape into stars, dust, rifts, or whirlpools, just like Silver. However, they appear to glow brighter and trap her enemies in better, allowing her to chain her attacks more consistently than Silver can, but her standard attacks don't deal as much damage as a counterbalance. The more damage her foe has taken, however, the more likely her attacks will connect, meaning she doesn't really need to hit with her sweetspots all too differently. What separates her from being a clone of Silver apart from her Specials and Hypers, however, is that she has a different way of handling her heavy tilts; instead of using a pendulum, she will summon a small wave of shining stars from her Star Chaser weapon that grow larger the more she charges them.

Behaving rather differently from other bosses in the way that she's designed to be like a playable character, her Specials and Hypers will be enlisted below instead of how it's usually done.

Specials

  • Neutral Special: Noteburst
Platinum will pick up her Star Chaser weapon, singing deadly lyrics that will travel across the screen in the form of physical sheets. They will hover up and down throughout the air. Any foe that makes in contact with the sheet won't be in danger, but those that come in contact with the frenzied notes traveling across the sheets will take some poison damage and eventually fall asleep. After finishing a line, she will throw out another attack before performing her next line. She will be singing her own vain theme song throughout the fight, with the pattern going from 4-line chorus to 2-line pre-chorus to 1-line chorus, which repeats but with different lyrics throughout the fight until resetting after the third chorus.
  • Forwards Special: Astral Projection
Platinum astral projects an aurora sphere from herself and embeds the projection with light, launching it forward like a pinball. It will bounce all around the walls, going from white to grey to dark as it hits walls before eventually disintegrating. It's tough to dodge in the enclosed battling space, but it's manageable. She can have up to three of these Astral Projections at a time, and they cannot be destroyed, so they need to be avoided by the enemies. It's hard during the occasional Notebursts, but it's manageable if Platinum's song is at an instrumental break. This move will not be used if she's currently using Noteboom.
  • Recovery Special: Astral Glide
Platinum will hold out her arms, drifting high into the air as a trail of sparkling stars follows after her. She will then rain down fake, sharp stars that'll stick to the ground upon contact, making the ground somewhat hazardous to step on for a brief period of time. Fortunately, these stars can be picked up and thrown right back at her by the player(s), which can be handy as she'll be in the air decently long.
  • Crouch Special: Gummy Snack
Platinum will pull out a jar of gummy worms, beginning to slither them into her mouth with her long white tongue, letting them slip down her throat so she may heal some of the damage she acquired throughout the fight. However, attacking her while she has her jar of gummy worms out will knock it out of her hands, which will piss her off and make it harder to beat her, as she will increase her offense.

Hypers

  • Neutral Hyper: Noteboom
Platinum will use her Star Chaser weapon, singing deadly lyrics again that will appear to be sung in a higher tone, resulting in them being larger and harder to evade. They will also travel more erratically, as Platinum will now apply emphasis to the last word of the next line in her song. Getting hit by a note will cause it to explode now, booming the player away from Platinum, who simply cackles at them before continuing on with the rest of her song.
  • Forwards Hyper: Hikari Dama
Platinum will pull from all the light in her body and from all available light sources to create a massive ball of light that can do some serious damage, but however, Platinum will be unable to attack after performing this. She will boom this right from her Star Chaser, which will spread out into a bunch of smaller aurora spheres upon making contact with a wall. It deals massive damage if it makes contact with the player(s) and will shatter early, which can be inconvenient as having it spread in the middle of the room makes it almost impossible to dodge the move at all.
  • Recovery Hyper: Shooting Star
Platinum will grab onto a huge star, giggling maniacally as she boosts off into the air. She will speed right through the air while holding onto her star, eventually crashing it right down onto the ground, which will force it to shatter. It's a tricky move to evade, so it's best to jump, then Parry to clip through the move, then move far away as the debris spreads over the battlefield.
  • Crouch Hyper: Pale Green Light
Platinum will emit a pale green light from her hands, which will light up the radius right around her body. There's a small warning to this: watch her eyes glow green, then stay right out of her way. If the player winds up being in the range, she will lick her lips as she transforms them into a gummy worm. She'll then pick them up and eat them, finishing them off for the fight and resulting in a game over.
  • ZONAL FEVER: Top-Notch Performance
Platinum will teleport away from the battlefield and appear outside of Satellite 15, raising her hand to begin quickly forming a ball of light. Platinum Sin will gleefully cackle, singing a few lines of great despair before launching this white comet towards the stage. When it hits the platform, it will compress a little bit before exploding into a great, shining explosion, damaging all foes in the radius before she teleports back to the battlefield. The whole time, her band is playing a unique instrumental that builds up to the attack- it's surprisingly very jazzy.

Captain Ryona's a nefarious space pirate that pilots the S04 Guacamole, sailing all across space to plunder satellites and planets alike of their treasures, going at ridiculously big lengths to gain whatever she desires most! She's a very dominant, rather rude person that finds herself in numerous scuffles with the acclaimed Captain Hector, with whom she's been battling for nearly two decades now. This villainous space pirate loves her job as a treasure hunter, searching even the darkest or worst corners of the space around herself for valuable treasures, being reckless and fearless in these dangerous places in spite of her sailing experience. Our captain is a bitter person with a dry, sarcastic sense of humor, and holds little value for others' lives besides those she deems worthy rivals in her battles and hunts. If someone gets in her way, she will tie them up and dump them into chests so she can find suitable punishments for them later- if her victim is a man, the punishment will be thrice as horrifying, and she will show even less remorse on them. In Ryona's eyes, everything she does has a rhyme and reason to it, even if it just means she's being selfish.

Though Captain Ryona has refused to talk about her past with others time to time again, especially with men, it's fairly obvious that she was born with a silver spoon in her mouth and had been very spoiled at a young age. This is reflected in how she behaves; she believes that all values scattered across the universe belong to her in some way or another, and has been known for getting very pissy when she doesn't get her way within moments' time. She probably never got the discipline she would have deserved down the line, because she implies that she's still waiting from her parents to come back from a private voyage they set off for about 25 years ago. Though she eventually learned how to work as a sailor and how to command her crew as a captain, her bratty and immature personality has been carried into the future with her, and is now permanently mixed with the powerful hormones she received as a teenager. Captain Ryona lacks any friends, since she finds it hard to trust people she hasn't known for long and tries to lock them up within days or otherwise make them "walk the plank". You can find a lot of captive women on her ship, though, implying men just don't stand a chance with her.

Captain Ryona's a master of knots, able to make knots so tight that they're notoriously hard to untie without her help, and uses ropes that are somewhat flame-resistant and therefore hard to burn away. Her fruit transformations, performed by consuming fruit, allow her to change forms and take on numerous other powers, allowing her to change up her skillset. She can unhinge her jaw like a snake to eat fruits whole, too!

Boss Analysis

Captain Ryona is a strong boss character who makes usage of her fruit to access her three fruit forms, which all come with their own advantages and disadvantages. Before the player gets to witness her use any of these forms, though, they must engage in fair and square combat with the Guacamole Captain. Ryona's most obvious attack is her Admiral's Assault, which has her act as a battering ram while she's spinning around some spiked chains. If she misses, she will turn back around, again and again until she's lured into a wall or simply grows weary of it. That's the player's perfect time to strike her. She will also occasionally (and very quickly) bend over to tie knots between knobs on the floor using her rope. If the player trips over the tope, they will be giving Captain Ryona a chance to hit away at them. Sometimes, she will go into the background and sit atop a cannon, blasting cannonballs onto the floorboards (Bombs Away!).

Ryona also has other attacks that the player has to keep track of. Sometimes, she will very briefly head off screen and hurl a treasure chest onto the battlefield, opening its top. If she comes close enough to the player, she will try and knee them right into the chest, coming over to seal it shut. The Danger Chest is filled with electric eels, so if the player doesn't button mash their way out of there, they will take rapid damage over time. She'll also occasionally toss her cap off, which will travel around the screen like a boomerang (Capperang) before returning to her head. To complicate the process of dodging, she will sit atop a cannon, blasting off cannonballs across the floorboards. Finally, she'll sometimes command a lackey to bring down a noose (Surprise Catcher), which will hang an enemy in place so Ryona can get a good chance at beating them up without an issue.

When Ryona begins to run on half of her remaining HP, she will begin to take advantage of her transformative fruit, using her unhinging jaw to swallow either a pineapple, an apple, or a banana. In her Pineapple Pirate form, she will gain a yellow coat and a shield resembling a pineapple slice, which she will use to block attacks from all sides. The slice will absorb projectile attacks completely, but isn't good against physical attacks. In her Apple Anchor form, she will gain a red coat instead and an anchor made from an apple tree's trunk. She can swing around this anchor to cover a big area around herself and damage the floorboards for her enemies to fall through, but she becomes more sluggish. Through her Banana Buccaneer stage, she will form spiky armor and be capable of ignoring attacks while blasting off spikes as projectiles. However, she doesn't deal much damage.

Once Captain Ryona's taken 500% Hit Points' worth of damage, she will kneel down on the floor, then warp away after glaring at the player.

Tips:

  • Her fruit transformations somewhat work like rock-paper-scissors. "Pineapple Pirate" is useless against physical attacks but resists projectiles, "Apple Anchor" exchanges any need for speed and defense, becoming hyper-powerful instead. "Banana Buccaneer" gives her a lot more defense and some bullet-hell projectiles, but it can't deal much damage at all.
  • Waiting for Ryona to tucker out from her sparingly used Admiral's Assault can be a bit tiring. They can instead attack the Capperang when it comes around to send it flying back into her face, knocking her over into a dizzy state. However, the cannonballs won't stop being blasted across the ground.
  • The Surprise Catcher move can always be predicted in where it appears. Sometimes, Ryona will stop and wave at the screen, causing one of her minions to begin raising a rope into the air. It will eventually show up in the same x-position.
  • Acting fast is key to keeping one's footing on Ryona's battlefield.

Prowling the main hub of Satellite 15 is none other than the devious Vitch Trayd, Zonas' blood-related mother and the main reason why the police are after the Trayd family! This unlawful, dangerous creature has been avoiding the law for quite some time, having been responsible for dozens of murders and having raised all thirteen of her children to be just like her in lesser-known underground places. The Trayd cult also has around 200 other followers, which are lesser-known villains in training that actively seek to cause destruction and leave nothing behind. The "Trayd Family" is mostly composed of middle-class men that were inspired by Vitch's desires for anarchy and complete freedom, inspired by her wishes to have a non-judgmental world and to break all moral boundaries so that everyone can do whatever they want without consent or fear. As such, the Trayd Family wishes to destroy the government in New Naxaz City, then spread their destruction to the rest of the satellite once they've overthrown Kýrios. Only a tiny handful of people have betrayed her, with Zonas being her only child that's betrayed her for the better of the world.

Unlike her half-demonic child, Vitch is a complete demon and is among the most intimidating to be found on the satellite, having some really twisty horns and some serpentine features that make her look almost as ugly as she looks beautiful and strong. Personality-wise, Vitch is an egotistical person that never lets anything she's done haunt her, taking pride in herself and her goals and claiming that the satellite being underneath her control would be the best thing to happen to it. She holds no value for others' lives, including those of her own children, and sees all of her followers as slaves for the cause, and shows little to no reluctance when killing others. It's implied she's killed all of her previous husbands, which she only got by seducing them like a succubus, and killed them the moment they made her pregnant. She personally enjoys being condescending and downright awful, looking down upon her followers and her enemies with a look and feeling of superiority over them, proclaiming that those who've betrayed her or resisted her chose to live a miserable existence without her perspective or her "love and care".

Vitch is unaffiliated with any forces, not working for the likes of Mallory Zin nor working within C.O.T.S.' league- she's a wholly separate antagonist that's working to bring anarchy aboard the satellite, attempting to separate society and let her followers run free while getting away with whatever they want. But one must think... isn't it a bit suspicious that she wants to simply bring anarchy and nothing else? Are there deeper layers to her plans that we just don't know about?

Boss Analysis

Vitch is a very challenging, terrifying boss who makes use of both ice and poison in combat, being one of the game's most imposing characters overall. Her most distinctive move is her Ice Breath, which she will frequently use to freeze up the floor and make it hard to keep one's footing on- this is a recurring theme throughout her fight. She can also freeze up the ceiling, causing four to eight Frozen Stalactites to form, which will all drop down around the same time to release harmful debris. As Vitch skates around her arena, she'll occasionally lift up her Sapphire Viper guns to blast two bullets named Cryo Magnum across the screen, instantly freezing up anyone they make contact with and forcing them to break free of the ice. Sometimes she'll open up her mouth to charge up and release a sky-blue Solidifying Beam across the screen, which can only be avoided by ducking. It will hurt hard if it hits, and once it makes contact with the wall, all stalactites that have formed on the ceiling will prematurely fall.

Vitch is a very tricky enemy that relies on the player(s) to be inexperienced and unaware of what they're doing. This can be evidenced through usage of her Icecube Rush, which has her slide ice cubes across the ground and hurl them through the air, which can be indicated by underhand and overhand throws respectively- sometimes she'll snicker and fake the player(s) out, so they have to be careful. If these cubes hit a player, they won't take damage, but they might get pushed into the Thorny Walls accompanying both sides of the arena. She'll sometimes spit out Poison Drops, which will bounce across the ice in low, moderate, or high leaps. If they hit a player, they will take poison damage as she laughs maniacally- they should be dodged through appropriate movement or parrying. She also has a special Poison Bomber attack, which has her spit out numerous bombs that explode with deadly poison.

Once she's taken enough damage, down to at least a third of her health, she will growl very ferociously, stomping her feet and getting real violent as she resorts to her more violent tactics. She will begin to spit out three Poison Drops in a row now and throw out twice as many ice cubes in her Icecube Rush, but her new attacks are where she can become very crazy to deal with. Her Poison Claws let her reach across the whole battlefield in three huge, highly damaging strikes that follow the player(s)'s vertical position, additionally loading them with poison. She'll sometimes do Devil Bounces with her tail, which will let her crack up the icy floor and make a permanent hole in it- she doesn't do this often throughout the fight, but it's completely possible. Vitch can also send out Vipers from her hair, which will travel around and try to bite the player upon making eye contact. Finally, she can blow Fatal Hearts from her black lips, which will try to make contact with a player and draw them to her position.

When Vitch takes enough damage (400%), she will furiously screech, stomping the ground like an immature child before speeding out of the arena, cursing underneath her breath as her hands furiously twitch.

Tips:

  • Every 22 seconds, Vitch will perform another Ice Breath to freeze up the freshly-thawed floor. This is the best time to strike her, as she will be busy trying to make the fighting conditions nearly unbearable again. Be fast, however, or you'll get hit with an ice cube that pushes you back!
  • All of Vitch's Icecubes have low priority, meaning that you can hit them and cause them to go backwards and back towards her. This won't push her back much, but keep pushing her back and you will eventually force her into her own Thorny Wall, which will stun her and allow you to damage her.
  • The Devil Bounces are annoying, as cracking up the floor will give the player less room to battle on, especially when the floor is icy (which happens more often than not). Hitting her before she does a bounce with her tail, however, will force her back onto her feet.
  • All Fatal Hearts and Cryo Magnum bullets can be easily avoided with just a single parry move, though this requires some good timing on the player's part.

Queen of the Scorpage; guardian of an ancient treasure
  • Weapon
    Commanding Staff
  • Powers
    Fire

The Queen of the Scorpage is the guardian of an ancient treasure in Sector 3, fiercely guarding it with their life. The treasure is in actuality a magical map that allows its user to see all the places aboard the satellite and outside of it, functioning as its compass. Should one whisper directly into the map the name of a person and give it a description of them, it will label that person's location when they come close enough to the map's user. It can also label rooms the user personally finds important to keep track of. These are great features of the map, and in the right hands, can hold a lot of meaning to its holder. However, the potentially infinite amount of uses it has for good is rivaled by the potentially infinite amount of uses it has for evil, and thus the Queen of the Scorpage guards it dearly. They guard the map well within a cave, which in itself is protected with many barriers made out of the Scorpage creatures, with the little scorpions forming the front lines. As you might imagine, Sector 3 is a great place to hide things: it is a superheated place that shows no mercy to the unprepared. They know what they're doing.

They may not look much at first, but they are much more than they're actually letting on. Should you confront the feared Queen of the Scorpage, they will grow confident in their abilities and focus directly on the goal of guarding the map instantaneously, using their sharp instincts and impulse-inspired reactions to throw you off. They will then try to kill you as soon as possible, attempting to eliminate you from the picture through use of their expert leadership and immediate stance to come off as intimidating and mighty as possible. They do not like to come near society much because they do not trust their fellow scorpions to protect the map much, sitting like they loner they are in front of the map day by day. Though one can see this loneliness factor as the queen's attempt to prevent outsiders from talking them into giving them the map, they are a true loner that's desperate for outside contact, wanting to give up guarding the map and make friends, but they're entrusted and entrusted alone to guard this silly yet helpful map. They do use the loneliness to plot wisely for what comes next, but it doesn't break the sadness they feel from being lonely.

The Queen of the Scorpage shows weakness around sweet and innocent people; they will drag those types of people into their home, away from the map, and lock them up with the gifts they haven't been able to enjoy since the day their mother entrusted them with guarding the map. This queen will frequently send fellow Scorpages to the back of the home to feed and nourish the guests until they're ready to be walked out by the Scorpages. However, anyone that tries to use the queen's hospitality to their advantage will be met with a gruesome end.

Boss Analysis

The Queen of the Scorpage is a very territorial enemy, attempting to protect their own space and becoming enraged if their enemies infiltrate it, slicing back with their full might. Their strongest available move is the Quick Counter, a move that will quickly prove to be annoying as the battles drag on. Attempting to strike the Queen when their guard isn't down yet will make them slap the player with their Commanding Staff, shoving them against a wall. As they pace back and forth around the arena, they will sometimes lash out at the player with a Scorpion's Snipe, which involves them briefly swinging their tail to try and pinpoint the highly damaging sweetspot against them. This tail can reach roughly halfway across the screen, giving players little time or room to dodge. They will occasionally perform a Razor Dash, which has the Queen either roll across the ground or spin through the air with their tail sticking out.

The Queen's also got a number of other tricky moves to avoid. The Queen of the Scorpage can perform Claw Grabs, which allows their monster arm to reach across the screen and try and clamp onto a player. If they're successful, the boss will German suplex them into the floor, damaging them harshly. Another move they're fond of is the Desert Stream, which has the queen grind their staff along the ground to send a wave of desert grains through the air. This wave of sand has to be jumped over in time, or the affected player(s) will suffer from a brief loss of control. They can also swing their Commanding Staff into the ground, summoning Scorpio Armies out of the ground, commanding them to leap onto the player(s) and poison them, which will drop their HP over a short period of time until the poison wears off.

When the Queen of the Scorpage takes enough damage, they will become very irritated and stomp the ground in anger, driving their Commanding Staff into the ground to summon a sandstorm that will cover up much of the background. They will disappear into the background, becoming a shady figure that will stalk about in the dark, sometimes popping out from behind the sandy falls to perform a quick Double-Cross Slash in their direction before retreating behind the falls. They will sometimes open up four holes in the sandstorm wall, with Scorpion Troops falling through and looking for players to sting up and poison. Additionally, they will sometimes open just one hole in the wall, sending out a huge Thorny Worm that bounces around and tries to floor the player(s), which will push them around a lot.

Once the Queen of the Scorpage takes enough damage (500%), they will kneel and cry a little bit as the sand wall dissipates. They will then turn to grey dust, scattering away in the winds.

Tips:

  • You can't hit the Queen of the Scorpage at any point during the fight where they aren't intentionally left vulnerable, even if four players are ganged up against them at once. You can only strike after they use their Razor Dash or once they miss with their Claw Grab.
  • The queen's Razor Dash is easy to telegraph and dodge, once you're familiar with how it works. Every three attacks, the queen will use this attack to go across the screen. If her competition's mostly floored, she'll roll across the ground, or if they're mostly up high, they will instead shred through the air.
  • All of the scorpions summoned by the queen require about 20% damage each to be defeated. It shouldn't be hard to deal with the scorpions if they're dealt with quickly, but this can be tough if too many are on the screen at once. Take care of each Scorpio Army and Scorpion Troop as soon as possible.

The brainwasher. It is control itself manifesting the form of some child's nightmare, and stalks the satellite and beyond in search of evils and threats to vanquish across the Zaxiverse. It is the brains of the three spirits, and has unquestioned control over every operation in spite of being somewhat powerless and emotionless. It works in tandem with the Devil's Mask and the Echeno, together flying through the Zaxiverse in search of threats to quietly dispatch. The Manipulator's duty is to discover how it should bring down the universe's threats- though it was gifted the natural ability to hypnotize its enemies, it only uses this ability sparingly out of personal preference and instead attempts to lure prey to self-destruction through encouraging substance abuse and making such substances easier to obtain for those it is targeting. It does use its special power, however, for keeping the Devil's Mask and the Echeno in control as their respective emotions and hunger can go too far if left unchecked. Should substance abuse fail, it instead attempts to lure its targets in through luscious means or through promised paradise- which it actually chooses to grant, allowing its victim to die on the grounds of paradise. It possesses Vilicus Beck from time to time, serving as his voice of reason and using him as a vessel to spy on his enemies. Vilicus is immune to the vacuum of space with the Manipulator inside.

Most of the data on the Manipulator is unknown, but it is being mistaken as a ghost from the destruction of Devina Kilmister's laboratory as it uses it as a base for its operations with the other spirits of its kind.

Boss Analysis

The Manipulator, or the "Brainwasher", carries a frightening reputation even in battle. It is wholly impervious to the player's attacks, absorbing them and preventing the player from striking it directly. To take down the Manipulator, the player needs to evade its attacks while Koffina (or Silver in the main story) attempts to suck it inside of a thermos. The Manipulator is deceptively strong- though it cannot necessarily deal damage to the player by itself, it can manipulate the player's character to backfire all of their potential energy, damaging them by an amount that depends on how much energy is within them. This ability, referred to as Control Aura, remains active throughout the whole fight with the Manipulator and it will always affect the player if they are in its range. What complicates this battle even more is that the Manpiulator can move in all directions, float around, and phase through the walls of the Reactor Silo, making it very difficult to escape it as it cannot be stopped by physical means. To distract the Manipulator, the player needs to lure it around by sound- by attacking different areas of the reactor, the player can lure the Manipulator over to them. However, if any part of the silo is damaged enough, the whole satellite will explode and immediately end the battle in a loss.

It's true that the Manipulator is incapable of attacking the player on its own, but it's still very important that the player tries as much as possible to avoid being too close to it. To successfully drive the Manipulator away from Koffina, the player must make a sufficient amount of noise from banging against elements of the Reactor Silo's structure- harder-hitting attacks will make more noise, making it easier to attract the evil creature. However, the player must remember that all the player's stored energy will be used immediately against them if they're in the range of the Manpiulator's Control Aura. This means that if they're in the middle of charging up a heavy tilt, charging up an attack or some type of projectile, or are in the middle of attacking, they will take excessive damage. They will also take damage slowly from just being in the Control Aura, as the Manipulator will be trying to make their body malfunction.

The player should also be aware that the Manipulator won't just chase them around- it has numerous miscellaneous abilities it can use to make the player's job harder. One of them is False Perception, which has the Manipulator flash the screen red to make a steel obstacle appear before the player. However, it is not a real wall and it can be phased right through- it's meant to trick the player in going the other way. If the screen is flashed blue, the Manipulator makes an identical-looking obstacle, but it is solid, meaning it's a True Perception. A variety known as Mixed Perception can occur where the screen flashes purple, leaving both a real wall and fake wall to the player's sides. These walls all disappear when all their respective "puzzles" have been solved. Otherwise, the Manipulator can create star-shaped Ailing Rifts on the map- they can trap the player in briefly and either Poison them, Burn them, Freeze them, or lower their stats.

Once Koffina's been given 2 minutes of distraction time, Koffina will be ready to absorb the Manipulator in her thermos. She'll then race over to the Manipulator and absorb it, ending the fight and granting the player their victory.

Tips:

  • The Reactor Silo's largest compartment, located smack in the middle of the battleground, has the most stamina of all the compartments. It will be able to take a massive beating before it actually explodes, so it's a reliable way to lure over the Manipulator. Plus, as Koffina never walks in front of the main silo but rather behind it, the boss will never have a chance to touch her if it keeps getting lured here.
  • If your attack is powerful enough to K.O. Pierce Hazel in just one hit (this can be tested in the game's training room), it will be enough to take out half the stamina of any of the smaller reactor silo compartments. On the bright side, such powerful attacks will attract the Manipulator to you no matter how far away you are, so feel free to bang one hard if you're afraid the Manipulator's getting too close to Koffina.
  • The perception moves have one key flaw to them- if you pay close enough attention, you might notice different patterns in the False Perception blocks. This is also the case for the fake wall you can pass through in the Mixed Perception attack. If you can't pay attention to the color that's flashed on the screen, pay attention to the pattern of the blocks you're trying to pass through!
  • When time's running low (15 seconds left), the Manipulator will begin to target you and it will no longer threaten Koffina. However, it will fly towards you very quickly, so you need to continuously avoid coming too close to it. It will attempt to slow you down with types of Perception and strike you with Ailing Rifts that lower your speed, but you should be able to outrun it for long enough for Koffina to finish her job.

The devourer. It is hunger itself manifesting the form of some child's nightmare, stalking the satellite in search of helpless evils that can no longer go on the way they are. Everywhere it goes, it turns places dark and murky, and haunts the bodies of those whose fears it can smell. It works in tandem with The Manipulator and The Devil's Mask, together flying through the Zaxiverse in search of threats to quietly dispatch. Whatever they lay waste to through manipulation or confusion, the Echeno is left to consume them and prevent them from ever laying a finger on anyone ever again. The Echeno is a silent, hulking beast that travels around the Zaxiverse quickly through traveling through the nightmares of those who fear it; the greater it is known and feared, the more range it has overall. It can consume literally anything, but it will explode if it consumes something too big, so it is a last resort for it to eat something so massive. It possesses Vilicus Beck from time to time, giving him unlimited strength, a limitless gut, and the ability to fly, contributing to the spirits' possession by providing power.

Most of the data on the Echeno is unknown, but it is being mistaken as a ghost from the destruction of Devina Kilmister's laboratory as it uses it as a base for its operations with the other spirits of its kind.

Boss Analysis

The Echeno, or the "Devourer", carries a terrifying reputation even in battle. Just like its fellow brethen, it cannot be defeated by traditional means, and it will completely absorb the player's attempts to attack it. Instead, the player needs to concentrate on avoiding the Echeno's attacks while distracting it enough to allow their friend Koffina to capture it inside a thermos, which she's continuously tweaking throughout the course of the fight. This is much trickier than it sounds, as if the player doesn't balance their priorities, either the player will take a massive beating from the Echeno or it will focus on seeking out and devouring Koffina. If either of these happen, the battle will have to be reset, as completing the mission to capture it will become impossible.

The Echeno is an exceedingly powerful and dangerous enemy, having absurdly high offense stats and being the game's most powerful enemy overall. It also moves somewhat quickly and jumps around a lot, making it tricky to avoid. Almost every single attack in its arsenal is at least a 3-hit KO move, meaning that the player cannot waste any time in its presence. The biggest threat to the player's survivability in this fight is its Fear Aura, which weakens the player's mobility if they remain its presence too long and worsens their offense and defense stats. This means that when the player goes in to distract the Echeno, they need to be quick about it or they might risk becoming easy prey for it. What the player's supposed to do is ambush the Echeno and strike it with an attack- though they'll deal no damage, they will bring the Echeno's attention span towards them. That's the player's cue to run away and repeat the cycle, giving Koffina time to prepare.

While the player's giving Koffina time to do her thing, the player must avoid the Echeno's limited but extremely powerful set of attacks. The Echeno's Sonic Cutter is a relentlessly ruthless move that has it transform one of its two devilish wings into a metallic blade, cutting in a wide arc in front of itself. Howler Screech has the Echeno let out an ear-piercing roar of intimidation, pushing the player back far and wasting their time, dealing high damage if the player's knocked against a wall. Stone Glare has the Echeno flash its eyes white three times before having the whole screen flash white- if the player wasn't hiding out of its sight, they will not just be turned to stone but will take a good chunk of damage as well. All three of these attacks are capable of 3-hit KO'ing the player, but they cannot hit any targets behind the Echeno.

The Echeno has other annoying moves in its arsenal, which become more evident as the struggle for survival continues. The first is its Lullaby Jangle, which will try to lull the player to sleep if they're not in its fear aura- if the player doesn't drag their way over to the boss within 15 seconds, they will fall asleep. This will then lead into the Nightmare move, whereas the Echeno will strike them inside their dreams and cause the player's character to suffer from a real stroke. It can also Teleport behind the player if they've cornered it against a wall or if it's been distracted for too long. Finally, the Echeno will attempt to Devour the player through a lunge attack if time's beginning to run out, so the player needs to keep their distance from the boss if they don't happen to be right in front of it. Devour and Nightmare are both one-hit KO moves.

Once Koffina's been given 2 minutes of distraction time, Koffina will be ready to absorb the Echeno in her thermos. She will then race over to the Echeno and absorb it, ending the battle and granting the player their victory over the Echeno. In the story, Devina will absorb the Echeno instead after waiting long enough.

Tips:

  • The Storage Room you battle the Echeno in has bunches of boxes you can hide behind to hide yourself from its clutches. Note that the Echeno can destroy these boxes through use of its Sonic Cutter attack, but several more boxes will drop down from above eventually to replace the ones that have been destroyed by the boss.
  • These boxes can also be pushed away by Howler Screech, but because the move will leave the Echeno standing still, you can leap from a high pile of boxes to land behind it, and strike it with any move you please. It's important to try and strike the Echeno's back, as it's way too risky to try hitting its front.
  • Approaching the Echeno from behind undetected can be very difficult. When it thinks you've vanished, it will begin to start approaching Koffina- you have a limited amount of time leap over boxes and strike it from behind with any move of your choice. Projectiles are preferred over physical attacks. Just be prepared to run!
  • When the Echeno uses Lullaby Jangle, an instrumental (and ironically peaceful) music piece will play for 15 seconds. It likes to use this move if you've been a persistent thorn in its side, so always be prepared to run back towards the Echeno if you've recently attacked it. Watch out, as it will be looking for you!
  • Devour is a nasty way to go out, especially as it will kill you in an instant. Luckily, daredevil players can avoid this move altogether by jumping just at the right moment- the Echeno will dive harmlessly underneath them, and it might even collide with a pile of boxes too, making it waste a considerable amount of time in getting back up.

Boss Analysis

The Devil's Mask, or the "Reality Bender", carries a scary reputation even in battle. Just like the Manipulator and the Echeno, it is impossible to directly damage the Devil's Mask as it will absorb any and all attacks. Unlike the battles against those two foul creatures, however, the Devil's Mask must be defeated by accepting and overcoming its proposed challenge, and thus there is no time limit. The player's friend Koffina (or Devina herself) has her thermos ready this time, but she cannot use it because of how resistant the Devil's Mask is to being absorbed, so overcoming the boss' challenge is key to the player's success. The player's encounter with the Devil's Mask takes place in a make-believe drama play, which itself was conjured from the imagination of a long-dead child. Koffina is trapped with them, and they can only leave if this boss is defeated.

Unlike its fellow brethen, the Devil's Mask has a wide pool of attacks, and the player is required to best it in battle in order to continue. Because damaging the boss normally is impossible, the player must instead aim to hurt its pride by overcoming its challenges with as much precision and style as possible. If the player gains Stylish Points and manages to win over the play's make-believe audience, it will damage the Devil's Mask's ego and it will begin to slowly shrink. However, if the player loses Stylish Points or fails one of the mask's challenges, the boss' shrinking will slowly reverse! The player's main threat is the Anxious Aura that the Devil's Mask gives off- if they come too close to it, the player's character will begin losing Stylish Points and stagger in their performance, giving the boss an advantage that it doesn't need.

The Devil's Mask has several attacks that it will try to use against the player at all times, with the most common being a Ground Sweep that has him rush from one side of the arena to the other. It can also Rapid Twirl, deflecting projectiles as it spins around like a tornado. The Devil's Mask also boasts regenerating Spike Missiles that it can blast off from its sides, which will travel in the player's direction like homing missiles. He can also do a Personality Split, with two red and blue copies of himself whizzing around like sawblades, and blast Eye Lasers from its single pupil.

Its Power Laugh has it push the player far away, possibly against a wall, dealing massive damage if the boss has them cornered. Meanwhile, Power Cry has it try to draw in the player automatically, with the risk being that they enter its Anxious Aura. Six Emoji Bombs will explode lasers horizontally and vertically soon after being fired, and Paper Angels will try to heal the Devil's Mask if it's taken sufficient damage. Power Laugh and Emoji Bombs color the boss red, and Power Cry and Paper Angels color the boss blue- reflecting comedy and drama.

Included in this battle are challenges set up by the Devil's Mask itself- while the player's trying to avoid its attacks, they must take part in its timed challenges. These are the player's key to victory! The first is for the player to take down 5, 10, or 20 enemies (Gladiator Challenge), with the amount of enemies being twice the amount of seconds the player has to take them down. Using chained attacks and strong combos will help significantly. The second is for the player to take down a shadow copy of any fully-fledged fighter in the game, selected at random (Rival Challenge). The player has 30 seconds to dispose of them, though their offenses and defenses are cut by half.

The third challenge involves the player having to evade incoming walls (3-6) of reality-warping blocks (Parry Challenge), or the player's image perception will be messed with and they will see things that aren't actually there as the Devil's Mask attacks them. The fourth involves the player having to directly and briefly engage in battle with the Devil's Mask itself with its Anxious Aura disabled (Boss Challenge). In that fight, the player must strike the Devil's Mask as many times as possible. Finally, the last has the player use their Zonal Fever attack to impress the audience while being sure to damage the boss with it (Final Challenge). If the player succeeds, its pride will be drained.

Once the Devil's Mask has lost a total of 12 challenges (13 if counting the Final Challenge), the Devil's Mask will be ready to be absorbed. Devina absorbs it in the story, but Koffina does otherwise.

Tips:

  • If you wind up in the Devil's Mask's Anxious Aura, you have actually three seconds you can spend in it before you begin losing your Stylish Points and your character begins losing confidence. However, you can't just move in and out of it; there's a cooldown timer you have to wait on before you can move back in that aura. This is important to keep in mind, as the Devil's Mask can be struck to freeze it while the player's doing a challenge.
  • The parrying window grants the player just enough time to avoid the boss' fast Ground Sweep. It can also be used to avoid the Spike Missiles and Eye Lasers with total ease. Parrying can also help in blocking the windboxes generated by the Power Laugh and Power Cry. Use this knowledge to your advantage.
  • Don't strike the Devil's Mask too much if you're not taking part in the Boss Challenge. This will make you begin losing popularity with the audience, as they're there to watch you do the challenges the host gives you. When you're trying to get the Devil's Mask away from you, give it a powerful punch so that you're given all the space you need to think.

The Shepherd of Sovereignty is the living mascot of the government organization referred to as the Resistance Against Mallory (R.A.M.), empowered by the desires and cravings of freedom and independence that its members so desperately want. This artificially-created lifeform not just serves as a symbol of independence for those against Mallory, but also as a bringer of victory and prosperity, with him being designed to look and feel empowering to those that follow him. Though known for his kindness and free spirit towards allies, he's an unpredictable and destructive force on the battlefield, carrying fire powers to scorch enemies and loads of medical abilities to aid the weak in battle. He was conceptualized by Azrail Neos, who carefully blueprinted him out with Zodiez's help to ensure he wouldn't end up as a disaster like the rest of his creations. Reception to his likeliness within the satellite was generally positively received by the public, though he was obviously criticized by Mallory Zin and her comrades for encouraging propaganda and the like against her forces.

He is shown to be gentle, caring and kind to his fellow soldiers, blessing his allies with encouragement and healing magic while aiding inexperienced soldiers (such as Dusty). His voice is like healing medicine; he speaks with a soft tone and expresses gentleness through his thoughts, words, and touch. The Shepherd understands what's necessary for survival, is willing to sacrifice whatever for the greater good, and does whatever he can to express his non-judgmental opinions and thoughts. He has an excellent memory and shows great grace and balance casually and competitively, described by Silver as one of their most skilled allies. Though gentle, he expresses zero mercy against enemies that have hurt his friends, crushing them with his merciless psychic abilities. He behaves swiftly and alertly in battle, able to quickly and slickly move around the field to aid his allies and shelter them. With his extrasensory powers, he can detect events from happening just 30 seconds before, acting quick to snatch his allies out of danger or possible disasters. With how focused and patient he can be on the task at hand, sometimes he will appear to not hear others, only to reply when there's an open opportunity to do such. However, because the Shepherd is based off of artificial intelligence and data, sometimes he won't be prepared for unique scenarios launched by his enemies- he will need to be given instructions in order to learn to block off such methods.

However, the Shepherd of Sovereignty will frequently challenge those on his side to see if they're truly worthy of his help- they must battle him with their combined spirits and show him just what they're made out of! He is a menacing foe to work up against indeed, but he will encourage his allies to show their might and get back up when they've fallen. He's calling upon your inner spirit to rise up and resist his power!

Boss Analysis

The Shepherd of Sovereignty is a challenging boss that will absolutely test the player's skill with the game, making it hard to stand up against his overwhelming power. He will Warp around the battlefield, always trying to avoid the player(s)'s attacks whenever possible and always retaliating by making a Wall of Fire in the player's direction as soon as he reappears. This wall will either be thick enough but short enough to jump or duck over, or thin enough to parry through but too high to avoid physically. He'll also unleash his Flame Breath from time to time, lurching so he can blast high-temperature flames across the screen, which can be avoided by jumping over him. Sometimes he will wrap himself in an Inferno Twist, circling flames around his body before having them swirl away from him in the player(s)'s direction, one by one.

His Aurora Burn has the shepherd rush his head forward, trying to lift an enemy into the air with his antlers so he can deal massive damage with the enormous blaze emerging from his horns, and it thus happens to be one of his most frightening attacks. His eyes will briefly flash with white flames before he quickly zooms across the screen, indicating that'll be his attack. Otherwise, he can dish out Burning Arrows with a bow, trying to hit the player(s) with them if they're too far away. His remaining attacks in his first phase are his Hellfire Spread, which has him summon a temporary field of fire on the ground that needs to be properly parried or jumped over, and his Meteor Dunk, which has him summon a flaming asteroid from the heavens above to smash the battlefield. He can sometimes wield his Crook of Healing to heal himself bit by bit, but unlike other bosses, healing doesn't leave him vulnerable.

When the shepherd's taken enough damage, he will bow down to the player, and then summon a bigger, metallic clone of them that has about eight times the amount of health. There will be more clones for all extra players involved in the battle, with health evenly distributed across them for balancing's sake. All of the clone's attacks mimic the player(s)'s own, and thus are no different besides the fact that the bosses obviously deal more damage and are less resistant to the player(s)'s attacks thanks to their increased size and weight and lowered mobility. Surprisingly, the Shepherd of Sovereignty does not work against the player(s) during the fight, sometimes raising his Crook of Healing to regenerate their health when they come by. Once the clones are taken care of, the shepherd will bow and bless the player with a kiss, ending the battle.

The Shepherd has about 400% HP on his own, and takes a while to defeat. Once he delivers his kiss, he will disintegrate into the sun.

Tips:

  • If you don't attack the Shepherd of Sovereignty when the battle starts, or when you give up attacking for a brief period, he will hang out and not do anything, giving you and your partners (if you have any) time to strategize.
  • The Shepherd of Sovereignty is most vulnerable once he uses his powerful Flame Breath, which is arguably his most extreme attack out of the bunch. However, he cannot turn himself around, allowing you to smack at him before he can get a chance to react.
  • During the Hellfire Spread attack, it is possible to leap towards him and attack him, which will break his concentration and leave him dizzy, allowing you to get some extra hits in. Sometimes he will perform the attack twice, so parrying one and jumping quickly in case there's another will give you enough time to attack.
  • The Shepherd of Sovereignty will walk around the battlefield in straight lines during the final phase of the battle. If you walk near him, that will be enough to make him use his Crook of Healing, allowing you to restore about 10% of your health before he Warps away from you.

Rose Razz and Azul Frost are a special pair of Satellite 15 mercenaries that serve as Gonzalo's bodyguards and aim to prevent his big secrets from becoming public knowledge by assassinating anyone that knows too much. These two warriors' parents took on missions together across the Milky Way Galaxy, aiming to gather as much money as possible so they can afford a very luxurious lifelong vacation, and stumbled upon Satellite 15 while doing so. Rose and Azul, their children, patrol around the New Naxaz City Bank, observing every manhole they find and checking for intruders moving below the streets on a daily basis. Though they are dressed in very snazzy outfits, they are not recognized by the public as Gonzalo's bodyguards, but instead as heroes that observe the crime scenes and eliminate anything that threatens their master. Both Rose and Azul are working somewhat reluctantly for this strange man, only because they've been promised by him that they'd receive one thousand ValCoins for every menace they capture and behead. They've been so successful at taking out criminals that they now have a video game dedicated to them, which is a swordsmanship inspired Pokémon spin-off.

Rose Razz is a bipolar mess of a person that usually comes off as reserved and quiet, but can easily snap and fly way off the handle if slightly provoked, with his crazy mood swings making him difficult to approach. Rose is a relentless individual that never holds back, whether in a competition or in a fight for his life, usually killing whoever he's being threatened by. Rose does have a soft side, but it's bottled up and it's something he refuses to share, even to Azul. He sees himself as nothing more than a hollow knight, doing his sworn duty to protect those he loves and fulfill his missions. Do not be mistaken; Rose does have pride, and will be highly offended if you try to crack at it. Azul is actually Rose Razz's personal trainer and mentor that he looks up to almost all the time, her being a calm and resourceful person that attempts to restrict Rose's aggression while abiding by all of Satellite 15's rules so they can together avoid as much trouble as possible. Azul is a somewhat strict person and is very determined to teach people who to behave, having thrown Rose under very grueling training and having had him arrested several times, which results in them occasionally battling it out from time to time. She does have a mischievous side though- if she's caught in a good mood, she might let Rose off the hook if he helps her out with some personal issues.

These two are a wonderful pair of fighters that battle with honor and skill, with Rose providing the brawn and skills necessary to win and Azul supporting him by serving as his cleric and as his tactician. They might have trouble communicating from time to time, but they are very hard to stop once they've got the ball rolling.

Boss Analysis

When the battle begins the player will be face-to-face with Rose, who wields the Flawless Cutter, which is a fabulously sharp fencing sword that can slice through solid metal. Rose can use his sword to Parry the player's approaches and then retaliate with a Riposte (counterattack). He can also use Feints to fake the player out with a false move and then seize control of the situation with the real thing. He can also use a Dashing Lunge to slide across the floor, dragging his lance along as he does. These techniques make him similar to his arch-rival, the Nature Warrior. Rose can also use Hard Charge- if the player is too far away, he will home in on them with an unavoidable swipe that cheats through parries. If damaged excessively, he will use Reinvigorate to gain a massive power boost, making his formidable attacks deal even more damage.

Azul is Rose's cleric and assistant in battle, regularly ice-skating around the battlefield to track where her friend is. Until she decides to approach the battlefield to directly offer Rose a hand, she cannot be attacked by the player. In the background, she might be seen twirling her hands around in the air briefly, following up by blasting off an Ice Beam, which will instantly give the player frostbite and paralyze them. If Rose takes enough damage, she will quickly rush in and place her chilling fingers above his heart, healing him instantly as she goes back into hiding. The player has to directly strike Azul during the second or two she's healing him up, or they will get struck by her whip, Insta-Freezing them. She can also blow Chilling Snowflakes in the player's direction that also freeze them. When the super-Azul takes just enough damage, she will stumble to the ground and melt...

As Azul is shown melting down, Rose will become significantly enraged and will become much, much harder to stop. Hitting the now-glowing button on his belt, he will transform into this sharper, nastier floral version of himself, shrieking as he prepares to engage the player(s) again. Rose will have thorny vines spread all over the ground, with the player forced to engage him on five small-sized platforms. Rose's vines will wield six different Flawless Cutters, which must be expertly dodged as he spits out intoxicating clouds of Poison Powder and delivers Sludge Bomb attacks that can only be dodged through perfect parrying. Megastrikes are very fearsome attacks that deal massive damage to the player- all six of the Flawless Cutters will slash quickly in the player's direction, one at a time, with all needing to be parried. Platforms may eventually crumble up if stood on for too long.

Once Rose has taken 600% damage, he will breathe as his body de-transforms, his petals scattering into the air as both he and Azul appear to have disappeared... or did they? You never know.

Tips:

  • In the first phase of the battle, Rose can be caught off-guard if you wait for his fake-out and then parry the actual attack. If you do this, you can land a free hit against him. You may repeat this several times over the course of the match. You can also counter Azul's whip strike thrice through parrying, buying you more time to hit her.
  • You can make things less complicated for yourself by staying close to Rose throughout the whole first phase of the match. Azul won't use Ice Beam, as she'll risk hitting her friend, and Rose won't be able to use Hard Charge or Reinvigorate because you're too close for his comfort.
  • After Rose's transformation, you can damage Rose at practically any time by striking his head. This is easiest to do with projectiles, but even if you don't have any, he'll occasionally loom his head down every now and then to breathe out clouds of Poison Powder, giving you enough time to strike.

Gyanish Hunjan, better known as the "Electric Eye", is a surveillance man that works for Miss Replicate and C.O.T.S., keeping cameras all over the satellite that record data for the electronically-powered cyborg to save and share later. It captures 4K footage at a consistent rate at 60FPS, and all of its cameras are equipped with lasers that trace whatever people do around it as well as lasers that can be used to burn steel and flesh alike. The Electric Eye looks down upon his dashboard of cameras all day and all night, looking at the most popular locations across the satellite and a small handful of smaller and unexpected places. His job is to find anything suspicious and send this data to the rest of C.O.T.S., especially his boss Miss Replicate. Half-made of metal, his circuits gleam, he is perpetual and "keeps the country clean"- he takes pride in probing all your secret moves, his tearless retina takes pictures that can prove. The Electric Eye's cyborg body is connected to thousands of platinum-covered wires that go all across the satellite, connecting to all the cameras he watches over. This suit hides Gyanish's frail body and connects with his electrical eye, which he got following a vehicular accident which knocked out his right eye.

The Electric Eye is surprisingly mellow and free-spirited when compared to his fellow colleagues or to other villains aboard the satellite- though he's still a major threat since he can track any of C.O.T.S.' targets and confirm their locations in an instant, and the fact that his cameras can spit trackers onto his targets' bodies doesn't help matters. However, he's not always 100% efficient at his job, because sometimes he will zoom onto tiny details that intrigue him or play COLD❄BLOOD on the big television next to himself, and you might even catch him watching guilty pleasure animes. He's a giggling, loving dude that's just trying to make money and support the only people that seem to care about him, and shows a great interest in getting to know others better and share his interests with them. In fact, he's such a good-sported man that if you came up to him and presented a good case for him to ignore you on the camera feed, he will take it seriously and not report you to his boss after all- on the compromise that you become his friend and show him a bit of the outside world that his boss won't explore with him. But he's such a hip and happy jokester, that you might find it hard to resist unless you're REALLY cynical. Just help his somewhat puny body into a wheelchair...

The Electric Eye does seem to be rather popular with the public, however- in spite of his somewhat mangled state, he frequently shows up in beauty-based magazines, with Yama Velvetrot and Azrail Neos taking the professional photos of him that show up in the magazine. He has always been noted for his flashy and irresistible evil smile, and his interviews have been labelled as entertaining. However, nobody knows he's the electric spy that's getting 'em all in trouble with Miss Replicate. On the other hand, some of the mysterious arrests performed on Mallory's teammates- all thanks to him!

Boss Analysis

The Electric Eye is among the toughest bosses to take down aboard Satellite 15, being Miss Replicate's main assistant and the primary means of defense for the C.O.T.S. company. His battle is unique- he always remains on the right-hand side of the battleground and tries to prevent the players from reaching him and his electronically-powered system. Players have to make it through his labyrinth of obstacles, avoiding or destroying HV Cameras that will attack with Heat Vision, which can only be dodged with perfect parries while making sure they do the same with the Choking Wires, which will spring out from their hiding places to choke players and make them vulnerable to heat shots. All the while, the Electric Eye will be monitoring their progress through a screen in the background- once he does his Freezing Flash with his eyes, all players in his field of vision will take a stunning amount of damage. As such, they must hide in places that won't expose their bodies to the boss' vision. To move on, players must attack Pink Cores on the walls, which will sometimes blast lasers at them- once they're destroyed, a new path opens up.

The players will now be battling the Electric Eye in his room, while he's locked up to the many wires escaping from his wondrous suit. While the HV Cameras and Choking Wires sometimes appear, he has a new set of attacks to be worried about. The Electric Eye's main visionary tool of the same name will feverishly charge from time to time again- once he's done, he will do a Surface Shock, which will send lightning bolts scurrying along the surfaces of the room, requiring the player(s) to try and hop around to avoid them until they disintegrate. He can also release thunderclouds from the vents above, which will occasionally drop Lightning Bolts that also need to be dodged with perfect parries. Sometimes he'll make his computer propel itself upwards with a jet pack, hanging onto it to hover above the competition, allowing a huge laser behind his chair to charge up. This laser cannot be avoided by jumping or even parrying, so it has to be attacked to the point where it shuts off. If it's too late, it'll blast a Giga Laser across the screen, which deals massive damage. In the meanwhile, the Electric Eye will be shooting down at the battlefield with Thunder Arrows, which briefly pin enemies on contact.

Once the Electric Eye takes enough damage, all the wires behind him will explode, resulting in him hanging onto his propelled computer as he flies backwards, his lair beginning to explode. Players now have to outrun an instant-death Wall of Fire, with the Electric Eye aiming to stop them by continuing to throw an onslaught of Thunder Arrows at them. However, he has a new set of annoying attacks, including holding two HV Cameras to fire Heat Vision Mk. II at them and deal more damage than before, and occasionally dropping bombs that make Atomic Pillars that set behind players back, forcing them to try and stay ahead as much as possible. He'll sometimes focus in on the player with his eponymously named electric eye, blasting a Virus at them. If it connects, it won't slow the player down, but it will feed off of their energy for its master. There is one more attack, and it's only present when this boss fights Silver Zin on his own: the Tornado Mayhem. Basically, he will form a thundercloud beneath himself, forming tornadoes that will try and take Silver back against the Wall of Fire that can only be avoided with good mobility.

Once the Electric Eye has taken enough damage (600%), he'll release a cry of agony as he lets go of his computer, falling back into the Wall of Fire as the player(s) escape(s).

Tips:

  • In the first phase, it's always a good idea to try and avoid the Freezing Flash, because all you have to do with the other attacks is simply jump at the right times to avoid the Choking Wires and parry as soon as Heat Vision attempts to connect. It's simple if you keep in mind what's happening.
  • In the second phase, the best way to damage the Electric Eye is to wait for the Giga Laser to try and begin charging. Using attacks with a lot of range, such as sword slashes or explosive specials, will damage the Electric Eye's wires as well as his laser and potentially him himself. He's also vulnerable whenever he's attacking.
  • In the final phase, the bombs that make the Atomic Pillars have low priority, meaning they're relatively easy to fling back at the Electric Eye. If successful, this will drag him closer to his doom. Continuing to do this will eliminate the need to hit him, as he'll become engulfed in the flames.

The Leper Messiah serves as the clergy for Mallorism, commanding smaller men just like himself to spread the influence and reach of his evil religion. This (supposedly) selfish creature wishes to aid Mallory in her (alleged) quest of making Satellite 15 a healthier and better person, taking advantage of televangelism to more efficiently spread around what he's made up for this religion. He wishes to have complete control over the lives of thousands by dangling them from his many strings of lies, using the promises he seals upon the public through that televangelism to make necessary purchases for Mallory's agenda through his alias as Cody Zin. His missions within Mallory's inner circle simply include drawing in enough money to afford extremely expensive projects and using some of that wealth to continue affording to keep their Purple Keep's shields up. The Leper Messiah stinks drunk with power, leading around his foolish circus of clowns around the satellite to have them display wondrous behavior and acts of grace so they can be led closer to heaven- or in actuality, allow Mallory progress further and further towards her goals.

He shows (apparently) no remorse or pity for his victims, showcasing no pity or emotions for anyone around himself- even when others fall to their knees and suffer for his glory, he will simply tell them that heaven is a short ways off for them, a lie he designed so he may mooch more money from their wallets. When others marvel at his tricks and get their Sunday fix from him, he shows no egotism in his reaction or any real emotion, and simply just keeps going with them until he's gotten what he desired from them. He appears to see joy in seeing others in the endless religious chain he had started a while back. The messiah only really unveils his true self to fellow others in power, and often asks for their help to help him take people's greens, for he is a weak man that can't steal from them. He looks for specific people with specific weaknesses, looking for the emotionally unstable or depressed, and works to hypnotize them with his might. However, it should be noted that he feels forced to do all of this and that he feels responsible for much of the damage Mallory's caused...

The Leper Messiah is one of Mallory's closest teammates and one of her few friends, agreeing with her reasons to take over the satellite and wishing to one day see her take the place of Kýrios as the satellite's new master. However, in spite of this support he gives to her, he's unsure if she will be able to lead the satellite with a stable mind, and inside he deeply fears that he'll eventually become useless to Mallory and be disposed of, just like a puppet that lost its meaning.

It should be noted that in the religion of Mallorism, the figure Mallory Zin is seen as a kind and caring god that's implied to have a rough outside but a truthfully warm, passionate interior. This false incarnation of Mallory promises that nothing will come to wrong the world as long as others follow her through the cycle of life.

Boss Analysis

The Leper Messiah is an enduring, challenging enemy that battles with the Mallorian Cross, a multi-utility weapon with both offensive use and supportive purpose. In fact, its main priority is to serve as the Messiah's Shield of Faith, as it blocks physical attacks and repels projectiles through the power of Mallorism. He will push away the player(s) if they strike him, forcing them to rethink how to approach him. He'll occasionally use it to draw in his Dedicated Followers, which are always people that will try to help the Messiah with blocking attacks, making him a very defensive boss. The Messiah can hold out his cross to summon crimson portals, summoning enormous and veiny Mallorian Fists to reach across the screen and deal damage for him. He's also capable of thrusting this same cross into the ground, summoning Protective Angels from above (which are very grotesque) to shoot numbing arrows at the player(s).

The Messiah is very lacking in physical attacks, but he does have a very strong Iron Grip: he attempt to grab a player if they come too close, squeezing his fingers around their neck as he chokes a lot of health out of them instantly. The choke will come with a sonic boom, which will knock everyone away from the Messiah. When the Messiah's eyes flash and glow, that will be the player's time to jump, or they will take a Forceful Fall to their knees like they were about to perform a prayer, with dozens of arrows hitting them from many portals. He'll occasionally raise his cross up high- he will then fire a Heavenly Beam from it, which will rotate around the screen 360 degrees numerous times (and very quickly) before dying off. It can only be avoided by consistently parrying. Sometimes his cross will emit Waves of Confusion, which will travel across the screen in a wavy manner, altering the controls briefly.

As the Messiah comes close to falling, he will grunt as his mask shatters, letting his scarred-up pastel middle aged face appear with all of its glorious black hair. This will anger him as he changes the landscape from a heavenly place to an awful burning hell, causing spiked gates to pop out of the ground and lessen the room in the arena. The Messiah will extend his sword outwards, holding it by the shorter end as it becomes his sword. He will then rush at the player with Religious Flashes, which have him swing his sword once incredibly fast, flashing the screen white as he does. He will continue to chase down the player in a fit of rage, summoning fire from his hands and spreading it across the ground in Burning Waves, occasionally making Fiery Pitchforks fall from the sky after making them levitate around for a brief period of time. He has one move that's exclusive to matches against Silver only: his Executioner. This will have him rush towards the androgynous hero(?), nailing him to a cross and bleeding him out, following up by completely burning him at the stake, killing him instantly if he's successful.

Once the Leper Messiah has taken 600% damage, he will yelp, begging for mercy before warping off, the Mallorism spell completely broken at long last.

Tips:

  • Unlike most bosses in COLD❄BLOOD, don't fear the Messiah as he's attacking! During his Mallorian Fists attack, for example, he will be leaving himself wide open as he must use the cross to attack and cannot use his hands to defend himself. This applies to all moves, besides the Iron Grip and Forceful Fall.
  • The Messiah's back takes more damage than his front does, so take advantage of that with projectiles that can miss him and then hit him from behind, or with rebounding shots if possible. This is most useful when he's using his Shield of Faith to protect himself.
  • The Messiah can only swing a Religious Flash one at a time, giving the player room to parry it and then immediately hit him with an attack before he can move onto his next one. This will very briefly stun him, too.

Gonzalo Dorado is a banker that works for and operates the New Naxaz City Bank, as of the past few weeks since its original owner never returned from a trip into Sector 5's lush jungles. This young, somewhat enthusiastic-sounding clever banker will promise riches! Desires! The long-lost city of gold! You don't know what you're going up against until you meet him at the counter- he will invest and deposit your money, and will return it when you so desire. It's fairly normal, right? And you'd be right, for he has yet to make a big ruckus aboard the satellite, as he does his job efficiently and it's easy to see how he got the job among hundreds that were waiting for the position to open. But the terrible things Gonzalo can do to you are just so subtle, you can hardly taste the toxicity in the air when you're in his presence... oh, watch your money burn as he tells his little lies, promising riches and persuading you to let him handle your money. This shaggy-haired wanker's goal is to absorb as much money as possible- leaving his customers in terrible dilemmas (usually poverty) as he uses this money to try and climb the government, his twisted mind wanting to corrupt it just like how he's corrupted this bank. As people search for the streets of gold, he smiles sinisterly as his customers die before his very eyes.

He is somewhat involved with the other two big bad parties aboard Satellite 15, working out deals with them and managing to trick and fool even them with his sweet little lies. To them, he is just like the last banker: a weak, sorry little man that's foolish and powerless against them. But he's swindling them out of their cash too- he cannot manipulate them so easily, but he will use a little bit of the money to purchase weapons and destroy their property, forcing them to get replacements and drain themselves of cash that way. And of course, he's always delighted to hand them over some of their money, and he always tells them to come right back if it happens again... and it might again, shortly. What with his little eyes scanning his camera screens to check around the bank for havoc to wreak, he will always ensure he can land someone in trouble. The jester with no tears will be playing on anyone's fears, using the money that's deposited to play his dirty little tricks- and he's never been caught. His soldiers all look like everyday humans, and they're all masking Gonzalo's involvement with anything since they only enter his bank from the sewers. Surely, the man speaking the lies of El Dorado can never be caught...? Can this emotionless jester that plays on your fears be caught and punished?

So why does he do the stuff he does? Where does he start, where does he stop? Perhaps he's just insane, with something having somehow driven him to madness, but maybe there's some other underlying factor. Like some kind of hate... some kind of seething hatred for somebody that's wronged him before. Maybe several people. There's this businesswoman who's wronged him many times before in his eyes, for example...

Boss Analysis

As Gonzalo wheels around in his chair, it's clear that he's no ordinary man- he looks so deranged, so ready to just rip the player up into shreds. This is one of the game's more unusual battles, as neither him or the player will be directly landing blows against each other at any point. Instead, Gonzalo will flip the switch, turning his whole arena into a casino-like playing ground! Gonzalo will sail aboard his El Dorado ship in the background, spinning an enormous slot machine as he decides how he wants to seal the player's fate. It will usually land on Golden Ingots, which he will rain from the air above to pelt the player(s) down with. This rain will always appear guaranteed there's at least one slot displaying it, and will appear in greater amounts if more than one is present on the machine. It's most annoying when paired up with other attacks, which is especially common when only one Bar slot is displayed.

Gonzalo has a number of other fates he can summon via his Gonzalo Slots. Sometimes he will summon Giga Cherries, which will bounce along the ground frantically and proving to be very tricky to dodge, with players having to roll and parry them as they bounce along- more cherries presented means more to dodge. Mega Bells can also appear, which will travel around the arena and try and make players fall asleep, with it being particularly dangerous later on throughout matches. Bullet Melons are another interesting move for Gonzalo, as this will have him spit a mouthful of watermelon seeds from his machine gun to damage the players. Super Diamonds are to be feared, as he can spin these along the ground like fierce spinning tops and force them to become platforms over a spiky bed. Finally, Lucky Sevens can only be triggered when they're all in a row- if he succeeds, he'll shower the battlefield with seven explosive sevens, which will all combust into highly damaging pieces.

As the rather fruitless fight goes on, Gonzalo will become more and more interested in taking down the player, beginning to introduce elements into the mix- the Devil's Dice. Interested in little more than slaughtering the player(s) now, he will toss these dice just about everywhere he can, one die per 10 seconds. Normal Dice will multiply Gonzalo's originally rather weak attacks into potentially much stronger ones, especially if he rolls a 5 or 6 with the one he gets. Lunatic Dice will instead increase the battle's pace, again with 5 and 6 being the numbers that will bring it up the highest. Fortune Dice increase the likelihood Gonzalo will get better luck with his dice and slot rolls. Finally, Golden Dice restore Gonzalo's HP by 2%, 4%, 8%, 16%, 32%, or 64%, depending on how much he's hurting at the moment.

Once Gonzalo spends three fruitless minutes attempting to bring the player(s) down through sheer luck, he will limp as he's struggled with all his power, failing his mission. The player can then either spare him, or kick him into the lava pool to the side of his casino stage.

Tips:

  • Gonzalo does not have to bit during any phase of the battle, with things beginning to speed up during the third-way points of the battle. Instead, all of the player's time is spend dodging its ridiculously strong onslaught of attacks.
  • Fortunately, Gonzalo's summoned objects can be (for the most part) attacked and shut down, and many of the projectiles thrown out during this battle can be parried or otherwise sent back.
  • It is possible to influence the Devil's Dice by simply striking them as they come down, changing their fates as they do. They can also be knocked off the arena entirely, preventing Gonzalo from using them to potentially power up.

Ms. Replicate

Ms. Replicate is a sly and mischievous woman who works primarily through deceit and fraud, surrounding herself with seas of lies and burying all of her real information away in places you'll never find. She even deceives her own associates and masks her true identity to everyone around herself, completely overwriting her fraudulent backstory every time it's demanded for by real companies or by real people. She uses her make-believe allies to progress with her own schemes and scams, eventually leaving them behind to rot or disappear when their purpose has been finally served- at least to her eyes. Basically, she is a living scam. She is the mastermind behind and the founder of C.O.T.S. (Clone Operating Testing Squad), controlling a legion of Mass-Produced Clone Corps for her to direct around the satellite to accomplish her nefarious misdeeds and frequently bossing around (and abusing) her assistants Noise Lindemulder and Yama Velvetrot on a regular basis. Her plans are mostly kept well under wraps, but leaked information indicates that she has a desire to kill everyone aboard so her team can use the satellite as a secret breeding program for an unnamed experiment whose details are completely unknown.

Ms. Replicate can be compared to a programming trojan horse- she's seemingly serving some innocuous function, but in reality she's breaching securities and stealing whatever information she needs before severely damaging the person she's tied with and making a run for it. As such, she is using C.O.T.S. to make deals with the Mallorian association and frequently attempting to scam them as part of the woman's desire to progress with their plans- and that includes often banking off of the success of the Leper Messiah. As you might imagine, Ms. Replicate is a mischievous and very cunning person, and she doesn't give a damn about anybody, and we mean nobody as she works very hard to get her lonely clammy hands on the world itself. She lacks any care or respect towards others; she won't help anyone up when they're down and calmly watch them die to her own hand, and she won't ever aid any of her teammates unless she feels their purpose hadn't yet expired, in which case she'll do so without sparing an ounce of emotion. It should be noted that Ms. Replicate isn't always lying about everything- she will be very real with how she's feeling and occasionally display a bit of truth to mix her lies around. She wants to make it hard to break through her, and thus she tries harder than any other villain.

Ms. Replicate manages to suffer from one crippling weakness, however: she is madly in love with the immensely powerful Silver Zin. She recognizes his full strength yet knows that his amnesia would make him easy to deceive; she wants to capture him not just to remove one threat from C.O.T.S.' minds, but also because she is completely isolated from reality and is desperately begging for his contact- she knows that no matter what, she can kick him and throw him around and he'll still be standing for her. They're actually together- they serve as each other's foils, sticking together plenty of the time and preventing each other from progressing with their worse-off traits. It's especially a foil for Ms. Replicate though, whose plans and darker sides fall apart in his presence.

  • Likes: Silver Zin, Azrail Neos, her assistants (time to time again), her consistent scheming ability, her own laughter, spaghetti, freedom, getting away with white lies, protecting her identity, operating on patients, breeding animals, experimenting, romantic movies, the Operation board game, chewing on flossers
  • Dislikes: Pierce Hazel, Valerie Heartgold, Gonzalo, Social anxiety, her assistants (time to time again), feeling regret, feeling deceived, feeling betrayed, any instance of something not going according to plan, being away from Silver for too long, large crowds, amateur doctors and nurses, children, accepting her misdeeds, her identity getting exposed
Boss Analysis

Ms. Replicate is one of the final bosses in COLD❄BLOOD, and thus serves as one of the most challenging and intimidating enemies to face off against. Ms. Replicate's greatest strengths lie in her supreme mobility and excellent balance of offense and defense, moving about at high speeds and keeping a safe distance from the player(s) as she assaults them with everything she's got. The nurse's greatest tool is her Silver Scalpel, an oversized scalpel that she swings around like a knife, which deals excessively high damage (especially at the tip). As she dashes back and forth, she will be trying to slash at players with the tip of her blade before retreating. She can summon waves of smaller Bronze Scalpels, which will stick to the room's surfaces and serve as hazards that shouldn't be touched. She can fire these scalpels midair or on the ground, and usually appear in waves of 12 to 20. Her Deadly Syringes are another problem, which can induce a number of ailments upon her enemies on contact. She can Poison her enemies over time (purple), force their bodies to Numb up (yellow), or decrease their stats for the rest of the match (red). These syringes can be hurled from any space Ms. Replicate can reach, and she likes to throw them in waves as well.

There is a very large amount of things to keep track of through Ms. Replicate's fight, making her a very challenging boss to keep one's self alive throughout. Her Evil Pill attack has her launch three miniature capsules from her hand- if any make contact with a player, they will permanently suffer from very slowly draining health throughout the fight, which worsens with every pill they digest. She can also equip a Sonic Stethoscope, which she'll lift to her own chest. This will send sonic booms throughout the room for every heartbeat she has going on, which can only be avoided with proper parrying, and which only gets harder to do as her heartrate increases throughout the fight. Her Super-Heat Otoscope will be used when she's far enough away from the competition, placing the beam through the magnifying glass so it forms a laser that needs to be carefully avoided as he hurls along Bronze Scalpels or some of her Evil Pills. Sometimes she'll also reach a Suction Tube across the room, withdrawing lost blood from her enemies to heal herself, meaning that they'll have to try and take as little damage as possible. Sometimes she'll kick a player down onto the floor, keeping her High-Force Heel on their head and forcing them to mash free as she takes care of other enemies while grounded.

When Ms. Replicate takes enough damage, she will breathe harshly as she takes a moment to recover. When the player(s) come close enough to her, she will hold her hands up, holding her hands out as she Duplicates several copies of the player(s), fleeing the laboratory as they're left to face against the players alone. The player(s) must then progress through her laboratory, fighting off their weaker twins as they chase Ms. Replicate throughout the lab. They give chase until they encounter her in the same room where she had revived Silver at, with her snapping her fingers in frustration as she uses her duplication powers a last time to duplicate herself twice. These clones will only be capable of using the Silver Scalpel, with the real Ms. Replicate using her whole moveset against the player(s) as well as some new techniques. These techniques include her Clone-Sucker, a syringe that saps health from her clones to heal herself with, and her Clipboard Block, which has her raise her clipboard to obviously block attacks. Projectiles will roll off the clipboard upon contact because of the way Ms. Replicate holds it, making projectiles go past her.

When Ms. Replicate takes 600% damage, she will fall to the ground. She will breathe heavily, then lay on the ground.

Tips:

  • The majority of Ms. Replicate's attacks can be parried with ease, especially her Evil Pill attack. It's especially useful against her Sonic Stethoscope attack, as there's no other way to dodge it. Parrying is key to success in this battle.
  • Good luck, you're going to need a lot of it to play with all the madness that's going on here.

Mallory is a member of the alien-like Zin family, having illegally stormed into the satellite in search of her brother, whom she wishes to destroy as revenge for all the implied things he's done to her. Mallory's an insane and rather deceptive person that desperately tries to be in control at all times, trying her hardest to have her hands over anything and everything she desires without letting others interfere with her or double-cross her. Believe me, it's a very bad idea to stand in Ms. Zin's way, as she can very easily flatten you with her insanely strong anima. Because of her religious cult, early satellite attacks and her unpleasant Cheshire grins, Mallory's seen by the authorities as an irredeemable monster that should be stopped at all costs. If a civilian hadn't fallen for her Mallorism scheme, they'd be pretty cautious with her too, as Mallory's made her allies do a number of bad things around the satellite and she has attempted to assassinate the lord before. Mallory has a strong distaste for the authorities because they're never willing to comply with her one obsessive request: to let her see Silver and destroy him before he can regain access to any of his memories. In fact, if they had just been willing to cooperate with her, she wouldn't have hurt anyone else to begin with; she has this extreme hatred for her sibling and refuses to leave anyone alone until she can have five minutes alone with him. Much like her sibling, she's the only one of her kind and cannot exist anywhere else, not even in parallel universes.

Much of Mallory's character is shrouded in mystery, as she doesn't like having much of a public presence and prefers to stay home unless absolutely necessary. Mallorism is the main exception, and through it Mallory attempts to sell herself off as a good person that'll bring prosperity and peace upon the people as soon as they're able to catch and/or (hopefully) kill Silver. To drive the point home that Mallory could do great things if people wanted her to, she and the Leper Messiah (her partner) did write up an excellent Bible with many strong moral standpoints, and it's gained a couple thousand followers sometime before Incubus Eyes. She's very protective of herself and likes having privacy when she can. Mallory's also made many implications that she wasn't always criminally insane, and has asserted that she'll stop doing the shit she does when she gets her simple request filled out. But don't mistake her for being nothing short of a dangerous and threatening person, because that remains the truth. She might look innocent and gentle in close quarters, and she can be to play devil's advocate, but she's rarely afraid of pulling out the big guns or threatening physical abuse if she feels even slighted by something you said or did. She also tries to weasel her way out of trouble, lurk around in darker places, and try controlling people that show herself to be weaker than she is. But... it's said if you look at her right in the eye, you might see things she doesn't want you to see, the type of person that she really is. And when Mallory was at the Electolympics for the first and only time, she would cry a little before every match...

Everybody knows a good chunk of this information already, but this is what is known publicly. With everything we know about Mallory, she is incredibly powerful and highly dangerous, being capable of causing mass destruction if she so desired. And she's heading after the zodiac stones, and is doing a fantastic job concealing a lot of her personal details away. So the question the authorities beg is: is Mallory... invincible?

Boss Analysis

Mallory Zin is the final boss of COLD❄BLOOD, being arguably its most challenging and imposing character. Unlike other bosses in the game, it can only be fought by one character. Throughout the course of the battle, the player can notice how her body violently rattles and shakes, hissing and cackling with maniacal energy, wielding her own Mind Weaver weapon as she prepares to face off against the player. She is battled on a long volcanic arena that stretches across three screens, and she holds the distinction of being the only boss to be directly battled atop collapsing platforms. Mallory is an exceedingly challenging enemy that boasts the most versatile movepool of any boss in the game, including Silver's semi-clone rival Platinum Sin. Mallory will frequently taunt and insult the player throughout the match as she lays out her assault against them, questioning why they're bothering resisting them and attempting to convince them that what they're doing is wrong.

Being Silver's sibling by blood, it's somewhat clear that she'd be able to use some of the same attacks as him- indeed, she can use Sweet-Death Breath, Nerve Chopper, and Succubus Passion in almost the very same ways, though substitute any and all instances of dark magic with light magic. The key differences include Asphyxia Blessing charging up much faster, Nerve Chopper's power and effects being multiplied, and Succubus Passion giving Mallory the ability to both poison and burn up her enemies. She uses her HyperDrive whenever she feels like it, flying way high into the sky to raise her hand and begin building up her Superfire Strike. She will then point down at where she wants it to land, sending it along at a moderate speed- it will compress a little bit before transforming into a great, shining explosion that results in instant death to the player if they're caught in its path of destruction.

Unlike her blood sibling, Mallory has a full understanding of how the Mind Weaver works as a weapon, and makes extensive usage of it throughout the battle, primarily through the Art of Conjuring- these moves are based on harsh anima magic Mallory's been studying over the past few months. The Blister Arts have her create numerous flaming "puddles" on the ground, which will shuffle around briefly until Mallory raises her Weaver up high, causing them all to burst into high-reaching flame pillars- all the while, the player must leap over fireballs she spits at them. The Ripple Arts have her brew up a storm of nothing but winds, which push the player around in numerous directions as they're forced to parry through tornadoes and avoid random debris. The Voltage Arts have her blast extremely hot thunderbolts around the arena, which need to be parried as the player avoids a super-powerful electro ball the Zinner's sent after them. Additionally, the Gravity Arts have her form a black hole right behind her body, which she will be trying to push the player towards by attempting to gravitate them towards her.

Beyond her conjurings, Mallory can use her Teleport to move her way around the arena rather quickly, avoiding the player's attacks if she's taking too much of a beating from them. When not using her anima art, Mallory will be raising her Mind Weaver to draw a connection with her mind, blasting out Psychic Waves that numb, trap, and damage the player until they make contact with a surface. The waves seem to be speaking with Mallory's agony and anger, with special lines from her diary being spoken out as this occurs. Occasionally, she'll blast an unavoidable zap at the player using her Mind Weaver, attempting to drag them right over to her through an Obstacle Course of fiery walls she's conjured. The player must parry past each wall, then attack her before she can capture them in her arms, allowing her to try and perform a Soul Suck. If this happens, the maximum a player's allowed to heal throughout the match will slightly decrease, making survival harder.

This isn't the end of her versatile moveset. Her Ignition Draw has her hold back her Mind Weaver, setting herself aflame as she prepares to dash off at lightning speeds, leaving behind a wave of intense fire that needs to be jumped over. Upon making contact with a wall, she will attempt to dive down at the player with her aflame Mind Weaver. Her Flake Shot has her create a circle of solid snowflakes with her Mind Weaver, which revolve around the tip before she launches them all off at the player. They need to do several parries to avoid each one, as they're too fast to avoid on most occasions. Mallory's Hyper Slash, her final attack for this phase of the fight, comes when she slashes her Mind Weaver super fast, causing afterimages to get left behind as a huge beam of rainbow energy heads in the player's direction. It's easy to avoid, but deals high damage overall. For those playing as Silver, she has one more attack: her Violet Rush. If her eyes flash white, she will try to dash in Silver's direction, requiring the player to parry. If they don't, she will grab his neck and throw him into a wall, rapidly beating him up until he's nothing more than a bloody mess of bones on the floor.

When Mallory takes enough damage (1000%), she will fall down to her knees, looking severely wounded. If this boss fight happens outside the story, the battle will end as the screen fades to black. But those in the story mode, who are playing as Silver Zin, have one more fight to worry about as she enters a cocoon.

Tips:

  • You're going to need patience if you plan on scraping through this battle alive. Try to read the attack she's going to do next, and then avoid it so you can focus on any other obstacle that comes your way. Be sure you remember how to parry, as it will be your most important asset for this fight.
  • To attack Mallory, you have to wait for her to get to using one of her Mind Weaver attacks. Don't come too close to her or she'll use her Weaver Counter, but come close enough so that you can hit her during the one-second frame it takes for her to charge up most of her attacks.
  • Mallory's Mind Weaver has a set amount of HP (50%). If it is attacked enough, it will be temporarily disabled, leaving Mallory a lot more helpless and giving you many more shots to kick away at her.
