Bowser: Quest for the New Empire is a 2.5D platformer Starring Bowser. The game is developed with the assistance of Nightcap Devs. for the Nintendo Switch.

Plot

Opening

Somewhere far away from the Mushroom Kingdom,another kingdom is located. This Kingdom is known as the Karasukai Kingdom. The residents of this kingdom can be seen minding their own business. All of the sudden,a bunch of cannon balls start flying towards the Kingdom and destroying a couple of the buildings. One resident looks at the sky and sees a bunch of airships closing in on their kingdom. These airships turn out to be Bowser's airships. Bowser is planning to conquer the Karasukai Kingdom and transform it into the Bowser Kingdom. Bowser and his airship fleet reach the Kingdom and Bowser jumps off his airship. He lands near the entrance of the Kingdom before letting out a roar.

Gameplay

This game plays like most 2D Mario games. Since you're playing as Bowser and his allies,you have a few extra abilities. These abilities include:

Being able to shoot projectiles without a power up
Blocking projectiles with your shell (Or your brush/wand if you're playing as Shadow Mario/Kamek)
Being able to attack whoever is close to you.
Having a lot of range with your Ground Pound.

Like every 2D platformer,The goal is to get past obstacles and reach the end of the levels. Every time Bowser beats a guardian of a part of the Kingdom,He will conquer that part of the Kingdom.

Characters

Playable

Characters	Description
	Bowser: The king of Koopas himself. He's the main antagonist of the Mario series and the main protagonist of this game. He has most of his trademark abilities like breathing fire and retreating in his shell.
	Bowser Jr.: The prince of the Koopas. He uses his Clown Car to travel around. He has most of his father's abilities. He isn't as strong as his father,but he is faster and can he can slow his descent when jumping.
	Shadow Mario: A doppleganger of the Famous Mario made by Bowser Jr. He's the fastest character of the group,but has the worst traction and the fastest falling speed.
	Kamek: A Magikoopa that has been on Bowser's side since the begining. He's the slowest character,But he can perform a floaty double jump.

Enemies


Goomba: These Goombas are native to this Kingdom and aren't a big fan of Bowser. They can be defeated with any attack.	Paragoomba: These goombas will hover above Bowser and drop Micro Goombas on him. These Micro Goombas will slow him down and harm him if he doesn't shake them off fast enough.	Red Paragoomba: These goombas will hop towards Bowser. They can be defeated just as easily as normal Goombas.

Tanooki Goomba: The goombas will hop forward and slowly descend. Once they land,they will spin around and try to hit Bowser with their tail. If they're defeated,they'll often drop a Tanooki leaf.	Shoe Goomba: These Goombas will jump around and try to stomp on Bowser.	One Tailed Kitsoomba: These Goombas will burst into flames and launch themselves towards Bowser if he gets close.

Seedy Goombas: These Goombas will spit seeds at Bowser.	Kaapa: A Koopa that can be found underwater. They will lunge towards Bowser if he gets close and try to bite him.	Kite Koopa: A Koopa that will use a kite to hover in place. They will drop 1 to 3 Bob-Ombs if Bowser is under them. Bowser can cut the rope of their kites in order to get rid of them.

Hammer Bro.: Donning a Happi headband,These Koopas will often come in pairs. They will jump around and throw hammers at Bowser that travel in an arc.	Fire Bro.: These Koopas will often come in pairs and they will jump around and throw fireballs at Bowser that bounce along the ground.	Shinobi Bro.: The most common version of the Hammer Bros. in this kingdom. They will appear and disappear with smoke bombs and they will throw kunais forward.

Yo-Yo Bro.: The bros will often come in pairs and they will try to attack Bowser by swinging their Yo-Yos around.	Red Oni Bro.: A rare variant of the Hammer Bros that are native to this kingdom. They will teleport around and try to hit Bowser with their clubs. their clubs are capable of letting out Spark Fuzzies.	Blue Oni Bro.: An even rarer variant of the Hammer Bros that are native to this kingdom. They behave just like the Red Oni Bros,But they throw their club instead.

Lakitu: They will hover above Bowser and drop Firework Bob-Ombs.	Burning Lakitu : They will hover above Bowser and drop fire balls that will split in two once they reach the ground.	Electro Lakitu: These Lakitus will fire lightning bolts at the ground. These lightning bolts will create electrict traps for a few seconds.

Spiny: These guys will simply walk forward and cannot be jumped on. They will merely get knocked back if Bowser slashes them.	Staggy Beetle: These guys will fly towards Bowser from the background and try to grab him.	Flamming Beetle: These Beetles will walk around and throw fire balls at Bowser when he gets close. They're immune to Bowser's fire.

Koi-Cheep: They can be found underwater and they will often circle around platforms. They cannot be harmed by most Power-Ups.	Venus Fire Trap: They will stay in place and spit fireballs at Bowser.	Cherry Piranha Plant: They will stay in place and blow pink smoke at Bowser that will stun him. Once he's stunned,the Cherry Piranha will follow up by bitting him.

Vampire Piranha Plant: These Piranha Plants are native to the kingdom and they will attempt to trap you in their mouths. If you get caught,You need to mash the buttons in order to break free.	Bullet Bill: They will be fired from Bill Blasters and fly in a straight line.	Banzai Bill: They will be fired from Bill Blasters and fly in a straight line while destroying everything in their path.

Airstrike Bill: They will be fired from the background. They will rise into the air before dive bombing towards Bowser's location.	Firework Bob-Omb: These Bob-Ombs will explode after a short while. The explosion will linger for a few seconds and hurt Bowser if he touches it.	Ninja Magikoopa: These Magikoopas will teleport around and throw 3 kunais at Bowser.

Spark Fuzzy: These will bounce along the ground and cannot be harmed by normal means.	Pokio: These birds are native to this kingdom and they will attack Bowser By extending their beaks.	Stairface Orge: They will walk forward and try to crush Bowser with their mallets. They can be defeated by getting attacked on the forehead.

Thwomp: They will hover above Bowser and try to crush him if he gets close.	Closethwomp: They will keep their doors open and close them if Bowser gets near them in an attempt to trap him. If they trap you,you need to mash the buttons in order to escape.	Cannon Twomp: These Thwomps will fire cannon balls once they stomp the ground.

Bear Chomp: These Chomps can often be found sleeping. They will wake up when they hear noise and will start chasing Bowser if they spot him.	Wheelie Monk: These monkeys are native to the kingdom and will roll of slopes in order to attack Bowser.	Yoofoe: These saucers will hover around and drop Goombas and spiked balls.

Unibo: They will fly up and down,Left and right or they will just float in place. They cannot be harmed.	Octosquid: These creatures can be found underwater and they will spit coral Bowser.	Scuttle Snifit: They will hang around and spit balls at Bowser.

Will-O Boo: These boos are capable of floating around and spitting hitodama at Bowser.	Foggy Boo: These boos will circle around platforms and trap Bowser if he touches them.	Hidden Guy: These Shy Guys will hide in the background and ambush Bowser when he gets close.

Licky Lantern: They will float around and try to attack Bowser with their tongue. They can be used as platforms,but they will slowly sink due to Bowser's weight.	Biroron In-A-Box: They will hide in blocks and jump out when Bowser gets near.	Cat-O-Bad-Luck: They will climb up walls and dive down to slam you with whatever item their holding.

Items

Items/Objects

Items	Description
	Question Block: Hitting these blocks will reward you with items. Sometimes there can be enemies in these blocks.
	Brick Block: Hitting these will either break them. Sometimes there are items and even enemies hiding in these blocks.
	Bowser Coin: These coins can be found everywhere. Collecting 100 of then will grant you an extra life.
	Bowser Coin Stack: These will give you a random amount of coins.
	Power Moon: 3 of these can be found in each level and they can be used to unlock hidden levels.
	Kingdom Scroll: 1 of these can be found in each level. You can learn about the Kingdom by collecting these scrolls.
	Meat: These will give Bowser a hit point. Without Power-Ups,Bowser can only take 3 hits before going down.
	1-Up Mushroom: These will give Bowser an extra life.
	Poison Mushroom: These will hurt Bowser if he collects them. So avoid them at all costs!
	Power Star: Collecting one of these will make Bowser invincible for a short time.
	Bowser Bomb: These can be picked up and thrown. They will explode after a short time and the explosion will also harm Bowser if he's too close.
	Chain Chomp: When picked up,Holding down the button will make Bowser spin them around,Harming whoever is close to it. Bowser will hurl it forward once you let go off the button.
	Rocket Flower: Collecting these will speed you forward for a few seconds.

Power Ups

N/A	Powerless Bowser: When he's down to his last hit point,Bowser will transform into the Koopa Kid. He is smaller in this state and his attacks are weaker until he gets a hold of Meat.
	Fire Flower: This flower will make Bowsers fireballs more powerful.
	Ice Flower: This flower will transform Bowser's fire breath into ice breath.
	Super Leaf: This leaf will allow bowser to perform a tail attack. He can also slow his descent with this Power-Up.
	Hammer Suit: This suit will allow Bowser to Throw hammers. These can be aimed in different directions.
	Wing Feather: This feather will allow Bowser to fly for a short time.
	Super Bell: This bell will allow Bowser to dive on enemies and climb on walls for a short time.
	Mega Mushroom: This mushroom will allow Bowser to grow in size and rampage through obstacles for a short time.

Locations

World	Description
	Karasukai Entrance: The first world of the game and the entrance to the Kingdom of Karasukai.
	Nokonoko Rice Fields: A massive field filled with rice and hard-working Koopa Troopas that will usually stay in the background and avoid getting in the way of the king.
	Mt. Dossun: A mountain filled with enemies and obstacles that'll try to crush you.
	Tsukkun Swamp: A swamp filled with Bonzai Trees,Pokios and a bunch of poison.
	PukuPuku Shore: A beach filled with some underwater levels and fishes that will try to attack you.
	Shopping Island: A floating island where tourists go to hang out and buy souvenirs.
	Hanafuda Factory: A factory where a bunch of Stairfaced Orges work on creating Hanafuda Cards.

Bosses

Boss	Description

Kasai Samurai: The leader of the Elemental Samurai's and the Mini-Boss of the Karasukai entrance. He attacks by firing fiery sword slashes at Bowser. He will also jump around and throw fire balls at Bowser. Bowser needs to simply attack him until his health bar depletes.	Jizo Goomba: The guardian of the Karasukai Entrance. As a guardian,It's his job to keep trespassers out. He attack Bowser by swinging his staff forward. He will also jump around and try to stomp on Bowser. Bowser needs to keep hitting him while he's vulnerable until his health bar depletes.

Koori Samurai: A member of the Elemental Samurai's and the Mini-Boss of the Nokonoko Rice Fields. He attacks by skatting around and throwing ice shurikens at Bowser. He will also try to freeze Bowser with an ice katana. Bowser needs to simply attack him until his healthbar drops.	Rice Lotus: The guardian of the Nokonoko Rice Fields. It'll attack Bowser by shotting rice grains. It'll jump around and try to stomp bowser as well. It will also spin around and use it's leaves to to slash Bowser. Bowser needs to simply attack it while it's vulnerable.

Chikyu Samurai: A member of the Elemental Samurai's and the Mini-Boss of Mt. Dossun. He attacks by stomping around and creating earthquakes that'll stun bowser. He'll also throw boulders at Bowser and create spikes made out of earth. Bowser needs to simply attack him until his healthbar drops.	Sumo Thwomp: The guardian of Mt. Dossun. It'll attack Bowser by jumping around and stomping the ground. It will also attack by throwing punches. To defeat it,Bowser needs to knock it off the arena 3 times.

Kaze Samurai: A member of the Elemental Samurai's and the Mini-Boss of the Tsukkun Swamp. He attacks flying around and sending tornadoes towards Bowser. He will also spin around and try to hit bowser. And he will create giant tornadoes that Bowser will need to run away from in order to avoid getting sucked in. Bowser needs to simply attack him until his healthbar drops.	Guardian Pokio: The guardian of the Tsukkun Swamp. It'll attack Bowser by stretching their beaks and trying to poke him. it'll also fly around and try to dive bomb bowser. It will also stomp around and create shockwaves. Bowser needs to simply attack it while it's on the ground in order to win the fight.

Umi Samurai: A member of the Elemental Samurai's and the Mini-Boss of the PukuPuku Shore. He attacks by diving into puddles and jumping out of them. He will also ride on waves and try to slash Bowser if he gets close. And he will create water tornadoes that will push Bowser back if he doesn't jump out of the way. Bowser needs to simply attack him until he's out of health.	Dragon Koi-Cheep: The guardian of the PukuPuku Shore. He will attack by spewing fireballs towards Bowser and trying to by him. He will also fly out of the water and try to ram Bowser. Bowser needs to simply attack him while his head is out of the water.

Sanda Samurai: A member of the Elemental Samurai's and the Mini-Boss of the Shopping Island. He'll teleport around the arena and try to slash Bowser repeatedly. He will also fire beams of electricity forward and also cling onto walls and fire electric shurikens at him. Bowser needs to simply attack him until he's out of health.	Nine Tailed Kitsoomba: The guardian of the Shopping Island. He will attack by spewing homing fireballs at him. He will also engulf himself in flames and launch himself towards Bowser. He will also spin around and create a fiery tornado. Bowser needs to attack him when he's not attacking in order to win the fight.

Samurai Master Soshi: The teacher of the Elemental Samurai's and the Mini-Boss of the Hanafuda factory. He'll attack by teleporting around and attacking Bowser with a fan when he gets close. He can also shoot homing fire balls and summon lightning strikes. He will also fly around and drop rocks of on Bowser. And he will also throw ice shurikens that create cold splashes upon impact. Bowser needs to attack him when he's vulnerable.	President Hannya: The guardian of the Hanafuda factory. He'll attack by shooting lightning from his horns. This lightning will ricochet off walls. He will also summon stamps and try to crush Bowser with them. These stomps can create shockwaves that stun Bowser if he touches them. He will also shoot flames from his eyes. You need to attack him while he's in the foreground to win.

Kingdom Scroll Info

(Scroll 1-1) While nowadays these cannons are used for confetti,They were often used to combat an invading force years ago.
(Scroll 1-2) This giant Jingaza Statue can be found on top of the gate. Legend has it that when a big threat arrives,It'll come to life and protect the residents of the Kingdom.
(Scroll 1-3) Recently,some people have claimed to see faces in the colorful sky of the Kingdom. Some people have even said that these faces have come to haunt them.
(Scroll 1-4) WARNING!!!:If you spot this cat,Don't go near it! Run away as fast as possible!
(Scroll 1-5) Cannon Twhomps. They're not only useful for blocking enemies,but they will also fire at said enemies thanks to their cannons.
(Scroll 2-1) Every year,a heavy storm attacks the fields. Most people say that during this day,the rulers of the Kingdom are competing against each other.
(Scroll 2-2) Despite how dangerous it is,The people that live in the fields often look forward to the storm due to how many plants grow in the fields afterwards.
(Scroll 2-3) These floating objects were recently spotted flying above the Nokonoko Ricefields stealing some rice plants.
(Scroll 2-4) A couple of these Koopas were swimming in the rivers of the Ricefields. This close up was taken a few seconds before the photographer was dragged under the water.
(Scroll 2-5):Today were testing the new Koopa Kites. Come pay a visit to Nokonoko Fields if you want to catch some serious air time.
(World 3-1): The Sumo Twhomp. The Guardian of Mt. Dossun. The best Sumo Wrestler in the entire Kingdom.
(World 3-2): Closethwomps were originally built by a family of hammer bros to help the Sumo Thwomp keep his treasures from being stolen.
Scroll 3-3:"Orbs and Spikes...This won't be a hastle. With the help of Unibo's,we can defend the castle!"
(Scroll 3-4): These small plants are usually hidden beneath the grass and feast on the blood of those who battle on their ground.
(Scroll 3-5): During the Spring,Lots of Cheep-Cheeps tend to swim in the rivers of the Mountain. Bear Chomps can usually be found near the rivers during these times.
(Scroll 4-1): The swamp is filled with berries that are healthy to Pokios,but poisonous to humans.
(Scroll 4-2): Scuttle Snifits tend to lurk in trees. They use the Pokio berries to shoot down their enemies.
(Scroll 4-3):Do not hunt for the Pokios in this forest. Anyone who attempts to hunt in this forest will get a fine of 1000 coins.
(Scroll 4-4):"While waiting for someone to come save me,I had this monkey to keep me company. It seems he can eat these berries just like Pokios."
(Scroll 4-5): Prior to all the Poison taking over the swamp,This statue was build in honor of the Pokio Guardian. This mighty bird dedicates himself to protecting the animals that reside in the forest.
(Scroll 5-1): According to most fishers,Koi-Cheeps are very difficult to catch. As they often come in groups and seem to be immune to a lot of attacks
(Scroll 5-2): After a lot of training,Koi-Cheep tend to transform into this giant dragon.

Bonus Stages

These stages can be found in a couple of levels and can be used to earn a bunch of 1-Ups.

Stages	Description
	Slot Machine: In this stage,you need to match the pictures displayed on the boxes. The amount of 1-ups you'll get depends on how many pictures you matched.
TBA	Fiery Bonus: In this stage,Bowser can spit fireballs at balloons that have a number of 1-Ups attached to them. Bowser can aim his fireballs up and down. He can only shoot 3 fire balls in this stage.
TBA	Rhythm Bang: A Stairface Orge will play a song and you need to copy him. He'll play 10 songs and the amount of 1-Ups you earn depends on how many songs you copied perfectly.
