Blue Spiny Koopa is a Paratroopa with a Blue Spiny Shell on her back. Since she has spikes on her shell, she is immune to being jumped on, similar to a Spiny. Therefore, she does not lose her wings from being stomped on, as her spikes will hurt the player. She makes her debut in Koopa Party 8 as a playable character before making her way into the Koopa Kart series.

Blue Spiny Koopa makes her Koopa Kart debut in Koopa Kart Wii as a middleweight driver, where she is unlocked by playing Time Trials on twenty-four courses. She features boosts in Speed, Weight, Drift, and Mini-Turbo, which make vehicles like the Stealther and Formula Racer (both of which are counterparts of each other) more viable.

Blue Spiny Koopa returns in Koopa Kart 8 as an unlockable medium racer. Her stats remain mostly unchanged from Koopa Kart Wii.
