The Best of Nintendo Collection is a compilation title for the Nintendo Switch. The game features 30 of Nintendo's greatest games, from it's start on the Nintendo Entertainment System, all the way to the Wii.

Donkey Kong Arcade, NES Released on October 18, 1985, Donkey Kong was one of the most popular arcade game when it released, was one of the first platforming games, and was the first game to feature Mario and Donkey Kong. 
Super Mario Bros. NES Released on September 13, 1985, it was the first game in the Super Mario Bros. series, and is considered to be one of the best games in video game history, and is credited, along with the NES, for saving the video game industry.
The Legend of Zelda NES Released on February 21, 1986, The Legend of Zelda was the first game in the Zelda series, featuring a huge open world, and being one of the first games ever to feature the ability to save your progress. I guess that's a plus.
Donkey Kong Country SNES Released on November 21, 1994, Donkey Kong Country is a platforming game developed by Rare. It was best known for featuring (at the time) beautiful pre-rendered graphics.
Kirby Super Star SNES Released on September 20, 1996, Kirby Super Star is one of the most popular games in the series. It features various mini-adventures, rather than one large story, along with the partner system, that wouldn't make a return until Star Allies.
Pokemon Red/Blue Game Boy Released on September 28, 1998, it was the first game in a series that would become a multibillion-dollar franchise. It is also one of the best-selling rpg games of all time.

Mario Kart DS DS Released on November 14, 2005, it's the fifth game in the Mario Kart series. It was one of the first Nintendo games to feature online play.
Wii Sports Resort Wii

Released on July 26, 2009, it's the sequel to the world's best-selling game, Wii Sports. It also greatly shows off the capabilities the Wii Remote Plus.

Punch-Out Wii Released on May 18, 2009, it's the third game in the Punch-Out series.

    • Super Smash Bros. Melee was chosen because, why not?
    • Mario Kart DS was chosen over other Mario Kart games for its online play.
