Bandana Dee is a new playable character introduced in Super Smash Bros. Calamity. Bandana Dee is just your typical Waddle Dee, but with a blue bandana, a parasol when it is raining, a beam rod, and a spear, that's pretty much it. You may think he's just carrying that spear for the record, but he is actually using it as his primary weapon. I mean, why didn't Dedede think of giving every Waddle Dee a spear instead of a parasol?

Changes

Due to Bandana Dee being a new inclusion to the Super Smash Bros. series, he has no changes whatsoever.

Up tilt Overhead spear swipe Dee does an overhead swipe above him with his spear. 11%

Down tilt Slide kick Dee does a slide kick, similar to Mega Man's down tilt. Has short range, but makes Dee travel a very short distance forward. 6%
Down smash Spear spin Dee spins around, holding his spear outstretched. 11% (uncharged)

Dash attack Ground stab Dee leaps from the ground and plants his spear in the ground. Has high hitstun, but has fixed knockback. 12%

Down air Moon Drop Dee spins around with his spear outstretched below him. Can hit multiple times and it meteor smashes opponents when the last hit connects, but is weak. 2% each hit, 3% last hit
Grabs and throws

Grab Dee grabs the opponent with one of his stubs.
Pummel Stub jab Dee does a quick jab with his other jab. Somewhat fast. 1%
Forward throw Suplex Similar to Kirby's former forward and back throw, Dee lifts the opponent upwards and piledrives them. Can K.O himself and the opponent if performed near a stage. 9%
Back throw "Ditch" Dee does something similar to his forward throw, but "ditches" the opponent behind him halfway through the lift. 8%
Up throw Parasol twirl Dee tosses the opponent above him and twirls his parasol, racking up damage. 2% (throw), 3% (each twirl), 3% (last hit)
Down throw Megaton Punch Dee lifts the opponent upwards with one of his stubs, charges up and slams them in the ground. Great killing move and can chain grab opponents at low percents. Animation looks similar to when he punches in Megaton Punch. 13%
Special attacks

Neutral special Beam Rod Dee whips out his beam rod and fires a short-ranged beam of electricity upwards in front of him. Deals low set knockback, but hits multiple times and can set-up opponents for combos and stops frontal approaches. Can be charged for a single, but stronger projectile that deals more damage and moderate knockback. 3% (each hit from the Beam Whip), 14% (Beam Wave)
Side special Spear Toss Dee tosses his spear forward. Can hold down the special button to pause the toss, and on the ground, make Dee mobile when he pauses it (however, he travels slowly). Has high hitstun ("pins" down the opponent) when sweetspotted. 4% (sourspotted), 6% (sweetspotted)
Up special Spear Copter Dee spins his spear around rapidly like a helicopter blade, propelling him upwards. After traveling a short distance upwards, he can float downwards while it is still spinning, but stops after a while, making him fall faster. Tilting downwards can cancel the float, putting Dee in a helpless state and making him fall faster. 9% (ascend), 5% (descend)
Down special Parasol Dash/Dive On the ground, Dee will whip out his parasol and dashes forward with it, twirling it around and creating power orbs that surround the parasol. Does moderate knockback and can kill around 125%.
In the air, Dee will do the same thing, but dives diagonally downwards with it. Deals multiple damage and can weakly meteor smash opponents if the last hit connects.

Final Smash Flare Beam Waddle Dee dons a jester's hat and creates a large ball of electricity that can be controlled and deals rapid damage. The large ball lasts for twenty seconds before exploding, dealing high knockback. 3% (each hit inside the large ball)

Alternates

Bandana Dee has six palette swaps, the first three based on the yellow, green and unused cyan Bandana Dees seen in Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, and the last three based on the alternate palettes for Waddle Dees in Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland and Kirby Super Star Ultra. He also has an alternate that turns him into Sailor Dee.

  • Even though he is officially named "Bandana Waddle Dee", he is identified as "Bandana Dee" in this game.
