Balloon Boo is a Boo that puffs up when faced but chased Mario and gets small. He first appeared in New Super Mario Bros. and then later in New Super Mario Bros. VR.

New Super Mario Bros. VR
Balloon Boos reappear as enemies only again in New Super Mario Bros. VR, where they are quite rare, but appear in the first ghost house of World 7 and then in the castle, where a giant blue Balloon Boo is revealed, called Bumper Boo.
