Arena of Valor - Heroes & Villains

I have brought you all here together to fight and earn yourself some valor. But mostly to fight, because the Nexus is boring and there isn't much to do around here.
Mr. Tachibana

Arena of Valor: Heroes & Villains is a crossover fighting video game developed and published by Revelation Heroes Entertainment. It is exclusively available on the Nexus game console, also developed by Revelation Heroes Entertainment. Anakin Nakamura serves as design director for the story, gameplay, characters and possibly DLC, if even.

As a crossover, the game features four universes which include Destiny, Halo, RWBY, and Star Wars, and features five characters from each as "Gladiators" to fight against the forces of Mora the Forgotten and to fight within what Mr. Tachibana calls the "Arena of Valor", a realm within the Nexus where he pits his Gladiators against each other.

After having been defeated by The Father long before the creation of the Nexus, Mora the Forgotten was imprisoned by the Nexu through the use of Potens Virgam. Now escaping imprisonment, he vows revenge on The Father only to find out he has long been dead. Instead, he unleashes his vengeance upon The Son and utilizes the Nexus to bring together an army of antagonistic individuals from numerous universes in an attempt to defeat The Son.

In response to this sudden invasion of the Nexus, The Son counters by bringing together his own group of individuals he saw fit to take on whomever Mora had in his army, these included four groups of "heroes" from four different universes; each group consisting of five. He calls the group he gathered "Gladiators".

There are five archetypes: Guardian, Spartan, Sangheili, Huntsman/Huntress and Force-Sensitive. Each archetype has their own unique ability and combos that largely differs from the other archetypes, which is what defines characters from their respective Universe.

Name Power Description
Guardian Light The Light allows Guardian Gladiators to harness and channel the powers of the Traveler. Each Guardian has their own abilities and Ultimate Execution.
Spartan Valor Valor allows Spartan Gladiators to increase the damage of their attacks by chaining Combos. In addition, these Gladiators, excluding Johnson, have Shields, which act as an extra Health Bar.
Sangheili Honour Honour allows Sangheili Gladiators to perform much stronger and powerful Combos and Ultimate Executions.
Huntsmen/Huntress Semblance Depending on the Huntsman Gladiator, Semblance modifies a Gladiator's speed, attack or assists their current condition.
Force-Sensitive The Force Force-Sensitive Gladiators can use the Force to influence both their attacks and defense, while also being able to manipulate their opponents.

Character Description
Cayde-6 was an Exo Guardian and served as the Hunter Vanguard. As leader of the Hunter Guardians, Cayde was tasked with advising and arming Hunters with equipment and weapons. He has been part of a fireteam with fellow Vanguard Zavala and Ikora Rey. Despite being diligent to his duties as Hunter Vanguard, the Exo yearned to return to the field and has expressed a desire to do so, though this has not been fulfilled, as he is required to remain in the Hall of Guardians within the Tower.

Cayde-6 was known as the owner of the Ace of Spades, a hand cannon which was built specifically for him by Banshee-44, a Vanguard gunsmith. Aside from owning Ace of Spades, Cayde was also known to have held numerous debts to several people. He was close with The Guardian, a protector of the Last City and a new-generation Iron Lord.

Ikora Rey
Ikora Rey
Ikora Rey is a Warlock Guardian and currently serves as the Warlock Vanguard. She advises and outfits Warlocks as well as providing tactical assistance when she is needed. With her extensive knowledge, she is respected among "all Orders" and those whom know of her. Formerly a student of the exiled Warlock Osiris, both were very close to each other, having conducted numerous experiments and was taught the value of being a Warlock. She lost her Light when the Red Legion attacked the Last City and imprisoned the dormant Traveler in a "cage", stripping its power from all Guardians. She is part of a fireteam consisting of herself, Zavala and Cayde-6, whom, despite his reckless nature, she viewed as a close friend.

Ikora Rey wields a Vanguard shotgun, most likely given to her by the Vanguard gunsmith Banshee-44. She's used this weapon against the Cabal, Hive, Fallen, Taken and the Vex.

Vanguard Commander Zavala is an Awoken Titan Guardian and is the Titan Vanguard of all Titan Guardians. Regarded as resolute, experienced, strong and charismatic among the Guardians, Zavala's leadership and strategies have led many Guardians to victory during the Last City's conflicts with enemy forces beyond the City walls. One of his main priorities is defending the Last City against all that pose a threat to its citizens and the Traveler, and rarely cooperates with any other organization.

Zavala is known to mainly use Auto Rifles, again most likely given to him by the Vanguard gunsmith Banshee-44.

Petra Venj
Petra Venj
Acting Regent-Commander Petra Venj is an Awoken of the Reef and the most recent Queen's Wrath appointed by Queen Mara Sov herself. She is extremely devoted and loyal to Mara Sov, following her every command and order; seeing them through until done. As the leader of what remains of the Awoken, Petra has been tasked with dealing with the curse that's been set upon the Dreaming City, the home of her race. While she dislikes the duties of leadership, she continues to try and lead those under her command, eager to deal with any threat towards her people.

Petra Venj uses a standard Awoken Auto Rifle as her personal weapon. Previously she had a sidearm, but gave it to The Guardian as a gift. She also has a knife which she keeps holstered.

The Drifter
The Drifter - Arena of Valor
The Drifter is a Rogue Light-bearer who holds no loyalty to the Vanguard and prefers to go his own way, whichever way that may be, but hey, no one's judging. Bringing a scam he calls "Gambit" to the Tower, The Drifter became acquainted with The Guardian, befriending them and eventually had them join his "crew". Previously known as "Dredgen Hope", he is a former member of the Shadows of Yor, a group that idolized an infamous Guardian named Dredgen Yor whom had fallen to the influence of the Darkness, however he denies the fact he still runs with their crew and now calls himself "The Drifter"; the name says it all, really.

The Drifter's personal weapons include a Scout Rifle called Distant Relation and a Hand Cannon called Trust, the latter having been given to The Guardian for participation in Gambit.

Avery Johnson†
Avery Johnson

A highly decorated and trained Marine, Johnson was also selected as a candidate for the highly classified ORION Project, a predecessor to the SPARTAN-II Program. During his military service, he was a close ally with SPARTAN-II John-117, and eventually Thel 'Vadam, the Arbiter of the Covenant Empire before the Great Schism. He fought during the Insurrection, First Battle of Harvest, the Fall of Reach, Battle of Installation 04, the Battle of Earth, Battle of Installation 05, and on the Ark and Installation 08.
