The Apple Ape (Ringosukī in Japanese) is a type of enemy found in the game Wario Land 4. In Wario Land 4, they toss apples which would turn Wario into Fat Wario if he were to ingest them, which he could use to defeat enemies by running into them and breaking blocks without a ground pound. They did not produce any coins when defeated and were needed to progress through the game.
Description
An Apple Ape is a small red ape with a yellow backpack and blue jeans. They also wear a set of fashionable sunglasses. They carry around fattening apples in their backpack and throw them at people.
Function
The Apple Ape will throw an fattening Apple as a falling projectile, which will turn Wario into Fat Wario if he touches it. If an Apple Ape attempts to throw a apple when Wario is already fat, the Apple Ape will just eat the apple instead. You can filp the Apple Ape over and stun them for a short time and carry them like a general standard enemy. They are heavier enemies, so lighter enemies will be defeated while the Apple Ape still remains afterwards. If thrown against a heavy enemy, both enemies are defeated.
