The Inkling Boy is an amiibo being released alongside the Wii U video game Splatoon.
Description[]
Inkling boys hail from the city of Inkopolis in the game Splatoon. They crave team-based competition and love to customize their gear before participating in the hottest sport in town, Turf War! Their hobbies include making messes, rocking the latest fashions, dancing, and spoiling the nefarious plans of their evil octopus archrivals, the Octarians! Like a boss!

All Inkling Boy figures[]
- Splatoon - Unlocks 20 challenges based on the Roller in Octo Valley. Completing every four challenges unlocks a new piece of clothing, eventually giving the player the whole Samurai Gear set, and completing the final five challenges unlocks a blueprint for the Hero Roller Replica and the Squid Racer minigame. The blue and green figures summon a Blue Inkling Boy to initiate the challenges, but the purple one summons a Purple Inkling, who is identical aside from the color change.
- Splatoon 2 - Allows the player to save full equipment sets for quick selection in matches, which also saves the player's control settings such as motion controls and sensitivity. Also summons an Inkling Boy as an in-game friend, whom the player can take pictures with. The player can also choose if he wears his original outfit or the equipment saved on the amiibo.
- Splatoon 3 - Same as in Splatoon 2.
- Super Mario Maker - Unlocks Inkling Boy as a Mystery Mushroom costume.
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Unlocks an Inkling costume for Mii. Unavailable in the Wii U version.
- Yoshi's Woolly World / Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World - Unlocks an Inkling Boy-based Yoshi design. In the Wii U version, all Inkling Boy figures unlock a blue coloration, while in the 3DS version, the purple figure unlocks an exclusive purple coloration.
- WarioWare Gold - Lets Wario draw a sketch of a blue, purple, or green Inkling Boy in amiibo Sketch, depending on the color.
- Kirby: Planet Robobot - Grants Kirby the Poison ability as well as a recovery item.
- Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Invites Inkwell to visit the player's town.
- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - Lets the player train an amiibo fighter of Inkling.
- Chibi Robo! Zip Lash - Can unlock figures of Chibi-Robo imitating the character's pose in the Toy Capsule Machine after scanning the Chibi-Robo amiibo.
- Style Savvy: Fashion Forward - Unlocks an Inkling Boy-based accessory.
- Style Savvy: Styling Star - Unlocks a Splatoon-themed pattern.
- Miitopia - Unlocks an Inkling Boy-based costume.
Blue and Purple Inkling Boy[]
- Splatoon 2 - The Inkling summoned from the amiibo can give the player the following rewards for every 10 victories; the Squinja Mask, the Squinja Suit, the Squinja Boots, and Seaskape for Squid Beatz 2.
- Hey! Pikmin - The Inkling Boy figure - which is blue or purple depending on the color - appears in a Secret Spot for Olimar to collect, and he will record his thoughts on the figure on his log. It also grants 200 Sparklium.
- Splatoon 3 - The Inkling summoned from the amiibo can give the player the following rewards for every 10 victories; the Squinja Mask, the Squinja Suit, and the Squinja Boots.

- Splatoon 2 - The Inkling summoned from the amiibo can give the player the following rewards for every 10 victories; the Samurai Helmet, the Samurai Suit, the Samurai Shoes, and Splattack! for Squid Beatz 2.
