Advance Wars Frontier (known as Famicom Wars Frontier in Japan) is the sequel to Advance Wars: Dual Strike and a prequel to Advance Wars: Days of Ruin game in the Advance Wars; a continuation of the Famicom Wars series; and the first on the Nintendo 3DS. It is set in Neo Land and as usual features several new features, most predominately the ability to play tthree COs at once.
In a distant land far from the rest of Wars World, known as Neo Land, there exist two military forces - Black Star and White Star. The Black Star Army would seek to conquer Neo Land, led by seven commanding generals, while the White Star Army would fight to defend Neo Land and keep the peace. White Star, with much to fight for, would always manage to push back the evil forces of Black Star, but one day, things changed...
After the end of the war in Omega Land, the famous Allied Nation armies had disbanded. The malevolent Black Hole Army had mysteriously resurrected, more powerful than before with the aid of Black Star and, having taken advantage of the disbanding of the four armies, started seizing control of Neo Land’s seven territorial areas. Although the Allied Nation was gone, White Star took over and rose up to the challenge… to defeat Black Star, despite its new strength. But with the power of Black Hole, one army may not be enough. Can they successfully recruit the former Allied Nation COs from Macro Land and Omega Land and fight to defend Neo Land?
Advance Wars Frontier stars two new characters: Brad, and Bridgette. These are the primary protagonists of Frontier and members of the White Star Army, and are accompanied by several other new protagonists, including Sophie, Flint, Sadie, and Condor, members of the Orange Star, the Blue Moon, Yellow Comet, and Green Earth Armies respectively.

||Condor is rumored to be a war legend from Neo Land because of his unmatched skills. In sandstorms, his units are stronger and have no movement or firing range penalties. Sand causes 1 HP of damage to all enemy units. Also, a sandstorm brews for 2 days.
A squall blows sand everywhere and causes 2 HP of damage to all enemy units. Also, the sandstorm rages on for 2 days.

Units' firepower increases greatly when attacking enemy units with less HP. There is also a chance of doing slightly more damage than normal.
All enemy units suffer 1 HP of damage. In addition, all units' firepower increases dramatically when attacking enemy units with less HP.

Movement range for all units is increased by 1 space. Deals 1 HP of damage to all enemy units and randomly changes the weather for a full day.
