Block

A ? Block.

? Blocks, pronounced as Question Blocks, are blocks in the Super Mario series that Mario can bump to receive his items. Coins, Mushrooms, and many other items can be found in Question Blocks. After a ? Block is bumped, it results in a Used Block or a block which can't be broken by regular means. It is arguably one of Nintendo's most iconic items.

Pressing the use items button gives the player a milder version of the effect and only spins him out.
