Alright, here it is! Feel free to add back any characters I didn’t put here.
I’m bored, so I’m gonna start working on a roster. It’ll be ready by Wednesday at the latest.
To be honest, whether or not you continue your project should be left up to you. Personally, I would not leave the fate of an article in the collective public’s hands.
That’s removed automatically. All you have to do is make an edit to a page. Keep in mind that it can be added back if you don’t make at least one edit per month.
I wouldn’t doubt it, to be honest. The user you’re talking about has made almost 100 pages over the span of about 3 months, which is almost impossible to do normally unless you somehow complete 1 game page and make some progress on another every single day for 90 days.
I would say it doesn’t meet wiki standards. Unfortunately, the user that made the article you linked, among others, seems to exclusively make port articles/short pages (most of which could be considered stubs).
One sentence and an infobox is not enough content for a passable article. Having only lists or tables in an article also isn’t enough.
Personally, I use mobile in desktop view. I just can’t stand the regular mobile UI.
I’m gonna have to drop out of this. Just have a lot of stuff going on in my personal life. Sorry!
Everyone's done voting, just letting you know
Favorite this time around is Kay's. Stays recognizable, while still giving "curveball" characters (like Maxwell, Rottytops, Monita, and E.M.M.I.).
Least favorite? Probably Dratuna's. The picks were still curveball-y, but they had the least amount of recognizable characters to me out of the other rosters I looked at.
For reference, here's the rosters for round one and two.
Now, for my new editions...
21. Bill Rizer (Contra, NES)
22. Wario (GB)
23. Earthworm Jim (SNES)
24. Master Hand (Super Smash Bros., N64)
25. Conker (Conker's Pocket Tales, GBC)
26. Phoenix Wright (Ace Attorney, GBA)
27. King Boo (Luigi's Mansion, GCN)
28. Blaze (Sonic Rush, DS)
29. Miis (Wii Sports, Wii)
30. Linkle (Hyrule Warriors Legends, 3DS)
31. Inkling/Octoling (Splatoon, Wii U)
32. Olivia (Paper Mario: The Origami King, Switch)
Favorite is, again, Neo. It fits the criteria of the round while maintaining the roster's initial wacky vibe.
Least favorite is again Verdiclub, with the same reasoning that Salutationary, Hunter, and Neo gave.
(sorry for late reply!)
So, for my original roster, I'm dropping Cortex and the Tetris blocks.
Now, for my new roster...
1. Paper Mario
2. Gooigi (Luigi's Mansion 3)
3. Sackboy (LittleBigPlanet)
4. Ratchet & Clank
5. Spyro
6. Henry Stickmin
7. Cuphead
8. Pac-Man
9. Dart Monkey (Bloons Tower Defense)
10. Steve (Minecraft)
11. Pyro (TF2) - Fire (self-explanatory)
12. Squirtle (Pokemon) - Water (water-type pokemon)
13. Annalynn (Annalynn) - Earth (miner
14. Raiden (Mortal Kombat) - Lightning (uses lightning as main attack)
15. Storm Eagle (Megaman X) - Wind (has wind-based attacks, i think)
16. Metal Sonic - Metal (robot)
17. Ice Climbers - Ice (self-explanatory)
18. Ekans (Pokemon) - Poison (poison-type pokemon)
19. Zelda (The Legend of Zelda) - Light (she can apparently use light powers, idk)
20. Dante (Devil May Cry) - Darkness (he can apparently use dark powers, idk)
Definitely. The seasonal events would work, on top of maybe 1-3 more non-seasonal events sprinkled throughout the year. The wiki, as Hunter said, does seem to be losing traction quicker and quicker by the month (in other words, it's dying). More events could bring us together, and maybe even bring Fantendo back to its glory days in terms of activity if we try hard enough.
And which roster do you think is the worst?
@Verdiclub As best roster or worst roster? Regardless, you have to choose a second roster as best/worst.
Favorite's gotta be Neo. Great variety and unique choices (Penny was one I did not expect to see lol). I wouldn't be surprised if this roster was used in a Smash-esque fighting game.
Least favorite...probably Verdiclub. The roster is...meh, to say the least. Some of the characters just wouldn't work well in a Smash-esque game (like Touhou characters). The other ones are okay, but more uniqueness would be nice.
Probably when I hosted FJ23 (https://fantendo.fandom.com/wiki/Fan_Jam_%2723). It was fun, despite the fact that 60% of the participants dropped out. Hey, there might even be an FJ24 if I get enough interest for it.
